Barrett should be behind albert from what i have seen of him so far Knowles was better hopefully he gets better.
Wouldn’t be the first time we’ve not replaced a player everyone thought was crap but was actually not.
Just ask Plymouth
Given him a chance but never really took to him either weird bloke in my opinion who should never have had the job in the first place.
I agree. Barrett has looked average at best this pre season.
Did he? I’m not sure that Sadler has too much say who comes and goes.
What makes you think that?
Also fairly sure he confirmed he has final say at the meet the manager evenings too.
Is that why he refuses to answer questions (apart from “we’ll see”) about the only thing people want to know, when are we going to get at least one striker before the season starts.
This thinking that the manager Sadler is not responsible for the signings is the same school of thought I hear when we play really bad and lose that the manager can’t be held responsible for poor player performance or individual mistakes farcical defence of someone who’s in charge .
He has definitely confirmed more recently that he has the final say on signings, I can’t remember where I saw it now, but it was within the last week or two.
Oh yes the new CEO will be doing that probably( as a few suggested on here )picks the team as well sings the song does the dance plays the music a proper little Dennis Waterman:joy:
His body language tells me he has no idea whether we’ll be signing anyone next week and we then panic buy at Aldi.
I shop at Aldi and not once have I panic bought there, spent more than I wanted many time (having a 3 and 5 year old makes that very easy…) but not once panicked…
You’ve been done by the middle aisle haven’t you?
Just read this thread. Looks like we got dicked 6-0 by the team who finished bottom of the National league last season.
See you all next Saturday.
(except for those who don’t go)
I should have said Poundland.
Just watched it.
The way he responded and his body language - stroking the back of his own neck to soothe himself - classic anxiety response of a person trying to give the impression they are controlling a situation the mere mention of which fills them with apprehension.
Actually felt a bit sorry for him there.
2.56 in.
“Josh should have scored there, at the end, and we all go home feeling a little bit better about it,” is a line from Sadler’s interview that i have a feeling we are going to hear repeated alot over the coming season.
At 2. 56 he totally avoids answering which means he’s keeping his powder dry or we’ve got our strike force already.
Personally even as positive as I try to be my honest opinion is Jamma and flash equates to we’re in the shit.
He looked pretty nervous at being asked so i would say we have already got our strike force for the next coming weeks anyway
My hope is he’s keeping quiet my fear is that you’re right. Christ how depressing is that thought.
