I could see him signing for Solihull at some point this season.
Given some of the players they’ve had in last few years, they’re decent wage payers in non league so probably not a huge difference in salary between the two squads.

Should be good yard stick for both teams. Walsall vs a top non league team and Solihull vs a bottom half L2 team.

If you added those 5 plus Maher it wouldn’t look too bad except up front.Amazing to me how many players get injured pre season these days.CS might be able to tell us why.

I remember years back going to Solihull when Whitney was in charge and was walking to my seat when he was on the touchline talking to fans. I remember after on here it was reported he said nearly all the budget had been spent on Devlin and Luke Leahy which no one could believe but turned out to be true.
In true Whitney fashion he played 3-5-2 for about 4 games of the season before changing back to 4-2-3-1.

Well if we go with the “Why haven’t we signed any of the players that the othe L2 clubs already have?” point of view then OK, then I we’re cutting it fine. However, if we have definite targets in mind and we need time for the deals to come to fruition, I’m happy to wait. As has been pointed out about DJ’s first signing, it had actually been in the pipeline for weeks, not an 11th hour thing the morning before our last pre-season game - everyone just assumed it was the latter.
Whatever, it is all down to Sadler, the rest of his team, and Trivela as to who and when, and getting het up about lack of action (or, more likely, an outsider perception of lack of action while there is actually a lot happening) is not my thing. As the prayer goes, give me the strength of mind to accept that which cannot be changed, courage to change that which can be changed, and wisdom to know the one from the other. I can’t change whether or not we sign two 20+ goal strikers before next Saturday.
