I think Simkin is the best keeper in this league, we’re very lucky to have him.
This game was always earmarked as a good barometer of where we are and if our business has made us better or worse.I’m leaning towards the latter at this moment in time.

The point about DJ is a good one, it was delayed because the goalposts were moved and could potentially have left us with nothing.
I can’t change anything but that isn’t the purpose of UTS, just opinions. Mine are wrong often enough.

Just noticed from Solihull’s twitter / x that they have macron kits as well. Haven’t seen their actual kit but the training stuff is quite interesting.
Our style of play is awful, play around the back a little bit then hoof and hope into a channel or out to a wing back.
We have no creativity in midfield, no one who’ll take a game by the scruff of the neck, and no one who can feed off the scraps they’re thrown.
Doesn’t bode well im afraid, only solace is that we’re perhaps more defensively solid.

Isn’t that exactly what we did under Flynn? Thinking about it even though we didn’t play wing backs with Matt Taylor it wasn’t much different then.
If you are going to play long balls into the channels, may as well go early and try and catch teams. Not pass it around for a bit to let them get set and then do it.
