Cagey formation? Weāre gonna sit in with 7 defensive minded players for a draw and hope our front 3 osadebe, Gordon and lavery can do something from a ball lumped up top. Itās truly unbelievable. Even my little nephew whoās 7 could put a better side and tactics than that out.

I say good luck to Tom Leak on his debut.I am sure we all wish him well. When on loan at Salisbury I think he scored in his first game.Lets hope he can repeat the feat!!
Him for White and Sinclair for Perry the only changes. Sinclair did well at Exeter so lets hoe he can repeat that tonight.

I thought we needed to win this game, terrible line up, playing so defensive against bottom of the league side. Sorry to say but hope we get beat 5.0 because Dutton has no clue. What ever happens dont get on his back itās not his fault. Just

This reminds me of the time we went down from Div 1 (The Championship). With everything to play for, we went to Gillingham who had just been thrashed and were on a lousy run, and Colin Lee for some reason picked a lousy, negative team to, as you say, shut up shop rather than take the game to them. As I recall Jorge was benched and we ended up losing 3-0 to a team that would stay up at our expenseā¦on goal difference.

Very brave 3-5-2. Which turns to be 5-4-1 pretty soon probably. And in a game you must win, your most dangerous offensive player starts on the bench. Ah, masterstroke of football tactics. Debut for Tom Leak? Can be harsh. You either swim, or you sink boy, so no big pressure. No, not at all.

The same formation during the game. He was changing it 3 times during each game and heās now settled on one which gives us no attacking threat

Clarke infuriated me, by picking his teams to counter, rather than take the game to the opposition. Thatās why we drew so many.
Dutton is no different, he does exactly the same. He has learned his trade from Clarke. It is an absolute nightmare that we have his undue influence to contend with.

Amazingly Jimmy Walker had one of his best ever games for us that day. It was a thrashing that could have been much worse.

Its too defensive for my liking too, but i understand why. And he is setting up not to concede, for at least 75 mins anyway.
We cant score, we cannot play attacking football.
Iām 52 watch walsall since I was 9 but never seen a team lacking so little forward threat. Lavery and Gordon dont scare any defenders. And our midfielders will sit on our 18 yard line. So dont expect any forward play.
