Stoke loan players

Not sure if it will happen but there might be a chance we could lose simkin and Lowe when a new manager comes in at Stoke .
It tends to happen when new managers come in they recall all loan players so they can look at the whole squad .

Not really worth worrying about at the moment, they can’t recall them until January anyway.

You could be right. I think that the two division gap will make a difference though, with the new coach recognising that they are better plating first team football with us, rather than being on the fringes for them.
Also, he may not have the autonomy to do that, depending on the set up at Stoke.

Its the age old problem with loans.

Any loan player that comes here and does well will invariably be at risk of being recalled

Right up until Draper was recalled last year fans were kidding themselves that Lincoln would let him stay. Was never gonna happen

Cant be negative, at the end of the day in previous years when we have lost loans its derailed a whole season. At least we are better equipped this year to deal with the situation should the worst happen

Well if that was the case he can pop down the bescot and he’ll see them in proper action it’s not far to come is it .

Lowe isn’t as good as draper and imo hasn’t proven himself as irreplaceable over our other strikers yet so wouldn’t be a huge loss at this time as cleary/ dj could’ve as effective
Simkin however would be a real shame to lose

They won’t be able to recall them until January

I’m not going to get into an argument comparing against Draper, but Lowe has easily been our best forward player so far this season. I think he will only get better.

I wouldn’t want to lose Simkin, but in my opinion, Hornby hasn’t let anyone down in the games he has played, in fact, I think Simkin was a bit fortunate to go straight back into the starting lineup.

I’d like to hope the 2 division gap may give us a chance of not loosing these.

I’d hope Simkin being a local lad and doing well would make him inclined to make a case to stoke to stay.

Lowe is the typical young lad at the moment blowing a bit hot and cold as he finds his feet in mens football but the raw ingredients are certainly there and I find him the most exciting striker to watch, I think the fact he’s finding his way should again hopefully keep him here unless it suddenly clicks and he bags a hatful in the next 2 months.

I think Hornby has made his mark, especially with pelanty save last night, that he is up for the gig if Simkin does get recalled

Be happy with him as number 1 tbf, great shot stopper. Needs to work on his kicking though.

Pelach it is

That George Bennett needs to keep quiet!

No chance we keep Lowe for the Season, he’s just to good.

I think we have a good chance.
It’s a big jump from L2 to the Championship.

Unless Stoke feel he is that good that he will be a regular starter after Christmas then his development will be better served getting regular games here.

Don’t see Lowe going anywhere unless there’s a monumental striker injury crisis at Stoke come Jan.
