Innocent then
Correct
You just know itâs going to happen .
Yeah I know, we were good for a few months. Itâs been done to death. The other 18 months we have played hoofball shite.
And btw, even in that good bit, we still played without the ball, exactly as I said.
Not sure I agree we âplayed some decent stuffâ against Chesterfield either. It was effective, but we essentially soaked up pressure for about 160 of the 180 minutes of the tie and hit them on the counter.
Totally agree, but weâve been shit for the best part of 18 months, playing bad football. Plus, I wasnât the one complaining about the football pre Sadler.
While itâs a possibility I think itâs highly unlikely. When weâve been stung the past 3 times with these loans each time it has been the player being recalled and staying with the parent club. If he has a really successful first half to the season I think they would obviously see that heâs being developed well by us and doing well and not to stunt that progress. He wonât be anywhere near AFC Bournemouthâs first team however well he does here. I think the risks of being recalled receded the higher up the food chain we are loaning from.
The way Lincoln treated us last year was disgraceful and very unprofessional imho.
Iâm sure Ben Sadler received instructions from Trivela to never deal with them again!
I know someone who needs a hug⌠come on, bring it in DekâŚ
Also Draper signed a new contract to keep him there, Stuttle seems a similar type of player
Im still trying to get over jimmy leaving us in 2004
So, thatâs our new season defined then, Play offâs by Xmas after Stuttle scores 15 and assists with 10 more, Bournemouth recall him in January and Sadler replaces him with a plethora of unwanted reserves that he has âbeen watching for some time nowâ that are useless (as usual) but are cheap. A 13th/14th/15th spot finish. Another wasted season.
Why oh why canât our club BUY strikers!!
We did.
However weâve paid money for Josh Gordon, Aaron Pressley and Levi Amantchi.
Pity we couldnât make a pre agreement with the parent club that if a player is on loan with us, and is doing well, and if the parent club are looking to sell them on that we should have first dibs.
Instead of loaners that are making a name for themselves with us going back to parent clubs to be sold, who are obviously better than anything we have, we should try to buy them ourselves.
We have just bought Pressley for around ÂŁ100,000. Not a lot these days but he is a striker and he is ours.
You make up a scenario, come up with a bad outcome and then blame the club for that outcome.
Jimmy who?
No,he does ladies shoes and accessories.
Have you ever in your life had one single negative comment about Walsall Football Club?
If that is the case you are obviously very young or have the optimism of a turkey thinking Christmas is a good idea!
Having followed Smalsall for over 68 years, itâs difficult to find any positive times during those excruciating times, Cardiff was a good day, and the 3-3 draw with Gillingham all those years ago were highlights in an otherwise drab existence being a Smalsall fan.
Every year we eagerly await the lead up to another season thinking perhaps THIS is our season, we did it last year, until Sadler proved our undoing.
As it happens, I have been following Walsall for more than 60 years myself. I have had plenty of reasons to criticise them for stuff that has happened. My comment on your post was that you were making up a scenario and then blaming them for it.
Those 60 plus years have been an extended love affair. And with all love affairs, sometimes the other infuriates but, in the end, you carry on and , although the pleasures are often small ones, they are real nevertheless. And the bad times enhance the good ones.
I always hope the next season will be a good one. We all do,
