In the Premier League? Errrr bit of a jump there and I’m sure Bournemouth will be more far more sensible than Stoke and especially Robins in his development.
I think a fair few of us ( me especially) thought we may of gone back in for Draper
this season, maybe we have, maybe we haven’t, but maybe we’ve tried to sign the
next best thing on paper.
Stop being a drama queen
I do use this place like therapy at times.
By the way, having therapy does not mean you live a sad life.
I worry that we’ve got 5 forwards who are all very similar. I would prefer to have someone like Dom Telford, a fox-in-the-box-type, to play alongside Pressley. But, let’s see what happens, we could be surprised!
I agree, although unlikely, as we have just let DJ go.
I wouldn’t have minded a bit of pace up front.
I’d be very happy if we did manage to get George Hall, he is like lightning, I know he isn’t a forward but he has played at the top end of the pitch.
MS will probably play Jonny and Elvis up front through all the friendlies …….. then day 1 of the season we will start with Jamma and Flash
No I meant in a few years time
Offers something different you missed that bit out then .
I’m not going to get to emotionally attached to any of our new signings it’s just too upsetting when they dump us .
There’s been a lot of negativity and to be quite frank, hissy fits on here of late by some.
But my god, given the recent painful history, surely anyone can understand a bit of caution here
How many seasons have been derailed by January loan business now?
There is always a risk of him being recalled probably less than Lowe or Draper but if he does well someone may come in for him or they may want to loan him to a league one club for the rest of the season.
These strikers we have aren’t goalscorers from what I can see hopefully one or two of them can step up.
Amanchi could get double figures this season I think the rest I’m unsure of.
He must be about 8th choice striker at Bournemouth.
They’ve loaned Jebbison to Preston with no obligation to buy so he would be the one recalled if they have some injuries early next year.
Only issue of course is he hits double figures and then a decent league one team calls…
Will probably be people expecting him to be as good as Lowe but let’s settle for him being more effective than Jake Scrimshaw which is a significantly lower bar.
Has to be it for forwards now, can’t think of another season when it’s all been done by July 1st.
Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved!!
I think it’s worth noting that Bournemouth play a very intensive pressing game under their manager Iraola.
I would venture that Bournemouth have let Stuttle on loan with a mind to develop these attributes, which makes sense because it is how Sadler likes to play if the opposition allows.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Stuttle starts against Mk Dons and Chesterfield
We have put ourselves on that route again though mate with this Stuttle signing. Can’t see him being called back for his parent club unless they have that many injuries that they have no choice but the recall and re loan out to clubs higher up the pyramid is a possibility.I hope this one is a safer bet than the Lowe signing but you just never know.
Personally, I don’t care about style as long as results are right. I’m being honest: it’s wins and points that make me feel good.
The only way Stuttle gets recalled in January will be if they send him to a team in League 1.
They won’t recall him to play him because they sent Daniel Jebbison on loan to Preston, so he’d be recalled first as he has Premier League experience.
I’m hoping that he’s an upgrade on Scrimshaw.
He arrived from Bournemouth with a very healthy goalscoring record at youth level.
Didn’t really kick on though (Port Vale game excepted).
He’s still only 24 and he’s on his 12th different club
And a court appearance don’t forget, although lack of evidence meant case was dismissed…
