Bacuna we’re tat a….
He joined Wigan in the summer, sent off at Blues the other week.
Just saw a post on FB. The player who had photos on Saturday is Makuna. He had a photo with some fans in one or the suites and they put it online.

Game Changer!
Bit of an odd one with Makuna,no official news from the club since he was on trial…yet here he is…like the phantom of the opera, popping up here and there around the stadium
not really exciting if its him
If it is Makuna I don’t see what he adds to the squad. From what I saw in pre-season we already have better options. We need a couple of 6 feet+ bruisers; one centre-mid and one up top. At least then when we’re hoofing it out of defence we’ve got a chance of winning the ball and someone holding it up.
Please @SubstanceD pray MF and the team have now realised this is not the way to play and win games
Really strange this one. Flynn said hope signings will excite people… Surely it can’t be a player released by Sutton. Never played a league game
Or can it…
I’ve got no problem with a bit of long ball tactics if we’ve the players on the pitch to make it work. Granted it’s not the most attractive way of playing but Flynn is pragmatic and if the situation calls for sitting in our shape, soaking up the pressure then lumping the ball up the pitch then that’s fine by me, but again we must have the players for it to pay off. Playing balls in the air to the vertically challenged likes of Earring, Comley, Kinsella, Johnson et al is a waste of time; playing it up to someone who can hold it and bring those into play is a different story.
I thought the whole Makuna things was history?. Why would we be signing him.
He isn’t stupid enough to think makuna would make us all excited… Surely
Most of the time a lumped ball is a lost ball.
I think Flynn prefers to call it an “aimless hoof”.
He did say Grimsby’s win was a smash and grab.We do have what I think is a good manager though and he has been given a sizeable back room team and almost every player he wanted(his words not mine). You’d like to think everything is in place for this to all end well but this is Walsall we’ve both followed this club around enough to know it has more chance of going tits up.
It will end well. Everyone gets it wrong at some point. Flynn will get it right. I just hope gets backed to bring another player in
We may have just read too much into Flynn’s words. He may simply have meant fans tend to get excited to hear we’re signing someone as opposed to meaning we will get particularly excited by this particular signing.
That’s what I read it as. If he’s ‘working on it’ then nothing is done so I can’t see him saying it in a way that we’ll be excited by this signing in particular.
So where is the new signing then
