Swindon Town (A) - League 2 - Sat 17th August, 3:00pm

Best 90 minute performance for a long time all players at least 7/8 out of 10 UTS

Delighted with the result and the performance. Much more direct and we got the ball into the box much quicker when last season we would dilly dally and worry about our possession stats. Goalkeeper hit almost every ball long into the Swindon half which always put them under pressure and when done properly I prefer that to playing it aimlessly from the back and losing possession on the edge of your box.
UP THE SADDLERS

Obviously very early days, but top of the league and 3 wins in a week can only strengthen the club’s position now for bringing in a player or two before the window shuts.

Just simply incredible.

Hard to single out individual players, they were all 9/10’s

Easy to see why Adomah has been a fan favourite elsewhere.

So mobile, all over that front line, wanting the ball and seeks out pockets of space. He was that wise head towards the end of the game too - a character we missed last year.

Making best use of him will be important but let’s get some reinforcements in and see where we go.

A great performance, Jellis is a beast and Stirk had a really tidy game. If we get a couple of strikers in, then perhaps this season might just show some incremental progress!

Absolutely class is permanent and uncle albert has it in spades!!. Imagine if we signed romaine as well. Quality will always shine through

Do we think this is the good start some thought Mat Sadler needed to avoid being sacked early?

What a result and against those attendance obsessed weirdos too!

Maybe we don’t need new strikers after all

One swallow doesn’t make a summer, I remember a good start to Flynn’s season he got sacked. We’re playing really well at the moment, if we are still playing this well after 10/11 games, then yes. I haven’t rated Sadler before, but we looked excellent today.

Let’s try a keep the posts constructive.

:joy: of course

Completely agree……

I was one of the ones suggesting a poor start wasn’t season defining either….

I reckon @KingCrod’ Steelstock rating will be at least a 9

“Mat…4-0 away from home. That’s some result that is. What are your thoughts”.

“That’s just not us”. -

Complete and utter disrespect for a player who’s had a brilliant career and still has the hunger and desire to chase balls down 90 minutes in at the age of 36.

Very early days but 3 good wins. We are looking more like a team so far. The midfield is functioning well and that is the key for me. Long may it continue.

Well, what a day out for the club and the almost 700 fans who raised the roof from start to finish.
A complete performance by all from top to bottom, rarely have we witnessed such a dominating performance from a Walsall side. Getting stuck in, winning 2nd balls, accurate passing, not allowing them any time on the ball…just superb to watch!
JG with his hustle went past their full back and calmly slotted it away for his 1st league goal in forever, well done! And a stunning header by Jamma. Then a beautiful goal in the 2nd half by Taylor Allen, Albert was little fortunate with his deflected goal, but we’ll take it.
Overall, an excellent display from the lads. A clean sheet today and 3 wins in a week, it doesn’t get much better than that.
