He’ll do the exact same again.
To do anything different would suggest there is a plan B which there isn’t.

I don’t mind that - but think Barrett is shot.
I think Sadler will stick though. Massive night on Tuesday.

That would be my team for Tuesday.
I dont believe we have sufficient quality to win the league. We have heart and determination yes, but the quality is questionable.
Only once did i really believe and that was after a second half performance at Notts. That was swiftly followed by a drubbing at Bradford who destroyed us.
There have been plenty of other games where i was shocked at how poor we were such as MK away who should have been 3 up at half time.
Part of me thinks that our Mat deliberately fights against fate which lands in his lap to prove he knows best… and it fails each time. A bit like Mr Newton trying to prove his laws are actually incorrect.
This was evident last season as well as this.
We have a settled back 3 so lets but DD back in as soon as we can. Oooh lets but McEntee back in midfield, lets go with a Stirk Comley combo. Oh i know, Flash is the best forward at the club lets go back to that scenario again.
Hopefully we can sneak over the line. I have my reservations.
Looking at the form over the last 10 games, Doncaster and Notts are averaging almost a point a game more than us, Bradford are averaging over a point a game more.
Unless something fundamental changes, we’re heading to finish fifth or sixth.
I wouldn’t have Levi anywhere near a starting place personally. I am open to being wrong, but he just doesn’t look like a footballer to me. I read that Sadler said he is one that can improve, well he needs to improve quite a lot to make it, in my opinion. Wheately didn’t do great in the game time he had but he looks like he had more of a clue than Amantchi in terms of making runs and where to be. I’m not saying Wheatley is good enough either; Sadler clearly doesn’t think so.
I think Matt has been quite poor recently, but then again, we looked bloody awful when he didn’t play. Harrison, he wasn’t great today, but I don’t think he was ever the kind of striker to replace what Lowe offered. He seems more of a second striker himself at times.
To be honest, my brain is struggling to take all of this in at the moment. The other night at Cheltenham was just poor management that cost a game that was won, and had we won it would all still feel okay (ish) I can’t believe that this season looks like ending in heartbreak. It is draining the life out of me. It was the one thing in my life that was getting me through.
Is he really shot?
From what I watched today it was a lack of effort, he needs a kick up the arse!
Ive been saying it on here for weeks. Hes been shite since xmas
Ye it’s strange, everything is half arsed.
He had a great chance 2nd half to get a shot off, and literally just ran into two defenders.
I’d say so, first season in professional football. He looks tired physically and mentally (and has for a while).
There’s no glossing it over after the disappointment midweek this was a really poor result with the danger team Bradford with 3 points in the bag before we kicked off this was a game we should have been well up for .our other two rivals all having dropped points I take little satisfaction from , more another massive opportunity to open up a gap missed ,all in all a bad bad day .we definitely need something against Carlisle or I feel the pressure will only get worse .
Barrett!! Might need some Lance Armstrong in him if he’s going to be rolled out again on Tuesday!!
I was listening to Sadler’s post match presser.
He spent a lot of time talking about what Swindon did well. They aren’t going to come and roll over and give us the points. Teams analyse everything these days, they came with a plan it is up to us to also have plans to counteract what they do.
It feels a bit like teams have started to find ways to stop our style, and Sadler is being out-thought a lot recently.
I’m not one that is going in on Sadler, “Sadler out” or anything like that. Just an observation that his lack of experience may be starting to show a little. Nothing that can be done about that now, I hope he finds a way to get us firing again and get us over the line.
I agree. The cup runs we had taking a toll on players like him. What I don’t understand is why Asimwee or Adomah haven’t been given the odd game. I have posted elsewhere the international break might do us good this time.
Looked like a game between two mid table league two teams. Draw would have been a fair result but I can’t begrudge Swindon the win as they made and took the best chance of the game.
I’m gutted if I’m honest though as performance levels have dropped off. I thought we were the best team in the league at Christmas. Now it looks like we’re average Walsall which many pundits predicted would finish mid table.
Still think DJ looks our most dangerous striker.
Our defence just look like we’re going to concede at least 1 a game. I’d prefer Harry to Osh but think DD could play a big part in the last 12 games if he can get fit.
Is the good news that we can put this right on Tuesday? Carlisle away has got banana skin game written all over it.
We can still win this but I’m worried we’re gonna blow it. Time to get behind the lads more than ever. UTS.
Fact is we should have took 3 points on Tuesday. Poor management. Didn’t freshen up a tired midfield and our subs were poor. Why not kill their momentum with a sub in injury time like Swindon did today
And Swindon today we’re as poorer side I’ve seen this season. They were there to be rolled over. Team selection was wrong. Shape was wrong. Subs were wrong.
5 dropped points. From 6 easy points.
Gordon was MOTM today why!!!
Granted not to many candidates and he did well with his defending and got forward but every cross he put in was poor yet again and bringing on weir for the last 20 minutes with his delivery might have made a difference.
I think it is only Okagbue who has played more minutes than Barrett. I do think our style of play, coupled with heavier pitches (including our own)is taking its toll. That’s why I can’t understand Sadler saying the January signings are chomping at the bit and will need to play apart the completely sidelining them.
Everyone can have a view on the transfer window, whether you think it is good or bad, reality is we have no idea as we haven’t seen them. We made 7 signings, we’ve only really seen Harrison and Levi, with a bit of Wheatley.
