Swindon Town (H) March 1st, 3pm

E ticket works the same and takes about 5 minutes to set up on your phone. If you can do it for trains / boarding passes and TV streaming then its easily done for most. For those it’s not as easy for then the ticket option is available, queue is bad at quarter to three but maybe that’s where the idea of mobile ticket sellers come in.

Perhaps a QR code that can be scanned around the ground would be an idea to save the faff of finding the ticket site online?

You can literally get tickets sent directly to your phone.

We don’t have fickle fans.

Christ, the support we’ve had over recent years of absolute rubbish has been superb.

If we are getting 5000 home fans, that is pretty much the extent of our regular support, even when doing well. There will always be some at every club that only turn out for the very big games.

It’s an easy slur that I see all the time, but there is no truth in it, in my opinion.

I have them sent by email and add to my apple wallet, which then scan at turnstile?

Not sure I understand what the issue is?

Me too. In fact, I’ve just called the ticket office to buy one for the Grimsby game and it was e-mailed in seconds and now in my apple wallet.

Yep, so do I. It couldn’t be easier!

It depends on how you see the term fickle, some say fairweather or floating. I don’t mean it as a slur, I’m not saying they are fickle people and it’s not a comment on their personality. It’s meant as a concise way to describe people who wax a wain in their support. The people on the fringes and will see a downturn in form or anything to justify not going.

The people who say I’m glad I didn’t go, not watching that crap, league two football, no ambition or investment, Match day experience is poor, I could get a ticket at higher placed club for that money so I’m not going

People like that do exist (in every club). I’m not saying all fans are fickle I’m just saying if we ever attract 9k for a one off game a portion of the surplus of supporters will probably not be die hard Saddlers…

I’m not a big fan of unnecessary tech. But I have to say Walsalls e tickets are the best I’ve used. So easy to just ring the ticket office as belphie says, and the fact they are proactively scanned by a human being as opposed to having to wave your phone at an unreliable scanner fixed to the wall is much better. Just going off my experience in the lower anyroad.

Not watched it all, but main bit seems to kick in on the 11 minute mark.

Mad Dog Holloway has plenty of compliments about us.

That is rubbish, you have to walk past the ticket office to swipe your contactless card at the turnstiles anyway. Also you don’t need to queue up if there’s a queue, you can buy online and get an electronic ticket on your phone. It’s not as if it’s a new way of watching football, every single club in the country does it, it’s the modern/convenient way.

I replaced them with tic tacs

100% agree the knobs on Facebook who pipe up about this make me laugh like they are superior fans because they have a season ticket or can afford to go whenever.
they dont know peoples finances and circumstances for a start it really annoys me mate.
i go when i can which is about once a month because its expensive with 3 kids.`

This is where the season comes alive for me. We know now after the form since January that we don’t just need to turn up to win the league. As from tomorrow the season gets real, we’ve got teams breathing down our neck now for the first time since we went top of the league. If we lose and the teams behind us win it will matter.

If the walk up process has been improved and simplified for floating / non Walsall fans to come and watch a game, then its another huge pat on the back for Trivela. I wasnt aware it had been addressed but it sounds like it has.

3-1 tomorrow. Cagey first half and we kick up a gear in the second

Weather is now forecast to be beautiful tomorrow. Safe for the fair weather supporters to emerge from hibernation.

It’s been simplified beyond belief… It takes 2 minutes to buy a ticket and have it sent to your phone.

If this is not possible for whatever reason then its still easy with our extremley competent ticket office. There is nothing more they can do.

Installing a card machine that processes entry is the future but right now why would we bother with the probabable astromical cost. As far as I’m aware no other club in the country has this either

Cash is dead wether people like or not. And the folk who wanna pay cash on a turnstile won’t be paying a premium to pay for the poor soul who has to sit there counting theircoins. It’s 2025. No one is not buying a ticket cause they can’t. Absolute myth. If inputting an email adress is too much effort then you can’t be arsed anyway.

Agree with all of that, except the Cash bit. Brought cash back into my day to day and managed to save loads more money each month… Seen something online that there has been an uptake in cash too, even more vital after yesterday’s online bank crash.
