I would like to bring to your attention a book written by Keith Holmes about his memories of following Walsall home and away between 1966-1980.
The book has 50 pages and includes pictures of Walsall players to accompany Keith’s stories.
I haven’t read the finished book myself yet, but I was fortunate enough to read a lot of it pre-release. It is a very interesting and unique book.
All profits after printing costs are going to the charity Parkinson’s UK, a charity close to Keiths heart.
The book costs £7.99 if collected from Cannock/Pelsall/Walsall areas, or £10 posted within the UK.
I can tell you that Keith has put his heart and soul into this book, with some help from David Evans.
If you would like a copy please find Keith Holmes on Facebook and message him privately, or you can message me on here or Facebook if you know me and I will put you in touch.
Thanks, Mark.

@Blazing_Saddler Thanks for posting this mate. As someone who has worked on this project (not the writing but editing, proof reading and generally keeping Keith’s spirits going through some difficult times in the writing) I can honestly say there are some great stories in here. Please buy the book if you can, every penny of profit is going to Parkinson’s UK. Thanks.

I started going in 71/72 and from then until the end of that book was the most prolific attendance period for me. Hardly ever missed a game in those days, probably up until the mid eighties when I moved away from the town.
I’m not on Facebook but would be interested in getting hold of a copy if possible Mark.
I’m going to be at the match tomorrow, early start and I’m never sure what time I will be back.
I’ll get in touch on Sunday mate, so we can work it out.

Just finished reading this book and despite it being a bit before my time (started going in 83/84) it’s an excellent read and shows the passion Keith has for the Saddlers, fully recommended and a steal for that price with proceeds going to Parkinson’s Uk.
Well done Keith, Dave and anyone else involved in this excellent read.

I am certain someone messaged me on here last night asking for a copy of the book, it was very late and I was tired.
Just got round to sorting it out and I can’t find the DM, is it possible for someone to delete the DM at the other end? I’m sure I haven’t imagined it.
If you did message me, please message again and I will sort it out for you right away.
@Belphegor I will sort yours now.
