Onwards and upwards, not too disappointed.
Wycombe fans celebrating him as a massive signing, I think I’m the only person who thinks he may struggle to make the step up.
If we’ve got up to 500k then it’s a no brainer really with a year left. Top guy/player but we move on.
A fantastic player and an incredible person.
Absolutely gutted to see him leave, but delighted to see him move up a division, which he deserves more than anyone.
Hopefully one day he returns
Expected, but if the 500k is right then that’s about as good as it could’ve got
Happy for him that he got his move. Happy we got a fee for him. Let’s hope he can make the step up and continue progressing. Hopefully we reinvest the funds sensibly.
Mat Sadler can f.ck right off.
If we are in league one - this transfer doesn’t happen, or at least, much more unlikely.
This is the fruit of that capitulation - an absolutely devastating blow to lose those goals, assists, a leader and player of the season.
Hold your heads in shame.
If he doesn’t, we as a club played a major, major part in his development, love to see a player move onwards and upwards
This is on Sadler
Sadlers sucks !
Well done for crushing our club and any excitement we had
Could have done much better than Wycombe.
Good luck allen, come along way from where you were when 1st joined
On the back of his most productive campaign to date, we were determined to open dialogue around a new contract for Taylor, however, it became clear that this was not going to materialise and that the 25-year-old wished to explore opportunities higher up the pyramid. From there, we worked collaboratively to ensure the best deal possible for the club was reached, in line with our valuation of the player, which was ultimately met.
He made it clear he didn’t want to stay. Would he have stayed had we gone up? We’ll never know, but hopefully we reinvest the money on proven players to get us out this league.
He won’t struggle. I hope that we have a good sell-on (that said they never seem to work for us).
Yep the collateral damage is plain for everyone to see now.Simkin would have come back Lowe would have come back but no we end up fecking it right up.
If we did get £500K for Allen, won’t it be winging it’s way to Drogheda right now???
The fallout and consequences of the biggest collapse in recent football memory continues.
Wanted to leave for a challenge higher up the pyramid. Joining a club in a league we would/should have been in this season.
Cracking player, developed superbly and proved me wrong when he signed (and re-signed) to become my first name on the team sheet.
Hope his career continues to flourish but tainted by the fact we should have seen more of him with us in League 1.
I hope someone knows how how much we got. Gutted, will be even more gutted if it turns out we were also shafted in transfer fee.
Allen leaves and Gordon stays …….. sums up where we are doesn’t it
Jamma signs and Allen leaves wow what a cracking day this has been.Feel like I’ve lost a million quid and it’s been replaced with me finding a penny.
