Times have changed since we signed the likes of Peron and Boli.
French footballers (even in their top league) were paid a lot less than in England and they both wanted to put themselves in the shop window for moves to another English team.
That route just isn’t available for lower league clubs now, with the exception of Blues, who seem to be throwing a lot of money around.

Junior had a dodgy passport from one of the scandinavian countries if I remember correctly. Didn’t he get thrown out of european football when it was found out?

I understand the rules lol and had the joy in those days in watching some wonderful teams with some great footballers in League 1 and the Championship

It certainly was…I still dream about the wing play between Pedro and Zigor!!! It was the last period of sustained “success”…if players of that ability were in our team today our gates would be much higher in line with many others in the EFL. That was in reply to GENSANX!
Bonser must laugh his head off at people like you who in your Pomlett / Trivela wish have surpassed his total stay in the 4th division by 2 years. They have been in charge for 6. He was in charge for 20 +

I asked @Gensanx123 the other day how much Bonsor actually invested in the club in his tenure of two and a half decades.
I wanted to compare that to the amount Trivela had laid out in their two and a bit years in charge.(Purchase price of the shares and the freehold etc)
I am still waiting for an answer.

There is a big difference. You talk about Bonser with pure vitriol and absolute hatred. very worrying. I don’t hate anyone I just dint think Pomlett and Boycott are very good at their jobs
About a tenth I would say. Investment from own resources not from within or made by the club…
