This shows that most of the “foreigners” are from the UK nations and Ireland and the rest includes players such as DD who play for other nations but are British.
Scouting networks have changed from 20 years ago. Younger players playing in lesser known leagues are scouted and data sets prepared on them to a much more detailed level than when Taylor was about. Add this to the scouting networks of larger clubs all over Europe now and you can see how a lot of players are already on the radar or signed up to smaller clubs that are linked to larger ones.
Suspect this thread was started to again fly the flag for Sir Mullet of Jeff again. Yay Jeff.
I didn’t count the home nationals / Irish in that number of 50. You are right there may be some included like DD who hold UK passports / dual nationality.
It wasn’t actually !!!. .Take out your negativity and read the thread for what it is .You’ll see countless outstanding European, south American and even oceania Footballers who were bought to Walsall in the Bonsor (Paul Taylor) period. Its perfectly valid to discuss the merits of this approach again. If it’s not possible, it’s not possible (Brexit or whatever) but perfectly valid discussions
Not having a go but I understand that Karen died recently so probably best to remove that comment
(I did try to message you but you’re not accepting messages)
