Can Walsall hold on to their star midfielder!?

Rinse and repeat Isaac. Thats all we ask

Given that is possibly the best set of figures we have seen for years, it might be a big ask!

In the first half, he was magnificent and a pleasure to watch.

2nd half Stockport. That was just as impressive as against far better team. A lot of it is in his head

If he can just tweak his final ball to be more effective and become consistent like Crewe every week no reason he can be as good as someone like lee for Wrexham who is by far the best midfielder I have seen at this level

Could and should be more if his decision making/final ball was better at times.

Who is the best EFL player your team has faced this year ?
Two mentions for Hutch one for Daniels so far

Makes it even more criminal we are not putting the right players around them.

Hutch is class but lee from Wrexham is the best player I’ve seen so far by a million miles

But he ain’t HUTCH

Somebody was comparing him with Sawyers on Saturday. I get the mercurial characteristics but they are very different in my eyes.

Without creating too much of a stir amongst the older lot on here, I think he’s quite similar to Craig Shakespeare. Shakey had the ability to run a game but sometimes would be completely anonymous. Shakey didn’t really fancy the physical but my word could he hit a ball. Not since The Canonball himself had we seen somebody strike a ball like Shakey.

This season Hutch has been just like Shakey. Following up a poor (for him on a personal level) but high scoring away game at Wrexham with two absolutely luscious strikes against Crewe and Colchester.

The other comparison that holds is bravery in demanding possession even when things aren’t going well. Not hiding.

For those slightly younger, this is a huge compliment by the way.

I see your point but I think he has more pace than Shakey (who would have been a top league player had he been a bit faster) and isn’t yet quite as strong.
