Perhaps our new CEO can knock our marketing and media guys into shape and maybe tell them about tik-tok Facebook WhatsApp and numerous social media sites that could be utilised to reach outside of the Walsall football fanbase .as some on here seem to think it’s a problem to reach them .
I noticed that the games for the Euros are ticket events. I don’t think they are charging but you need a ticket in advance (I think)
To be fair, I was one of those! However, what the rugby club have done is offering something that people would have an interest in. Ie cricket.
Those that attend will hopefully have a good experience and will attend again. If they feel welcome then they may venture to experience a rugby match. If they enjoy that then they may come again, bring a mate or family etc.
I think what the rugby club is promoting is much more appealing than a prayer room.
It’s so they can decide whether to have 1 barmaid or 2, or whether to do 4 cheese baps or 6.
That will be 2 babs or 4 baps surely
Depends if there’s onion or not…
Anyone go in to watch the England game? Were there many in there?
Will be there Wednesday, bringing the wife (she’s a Dingle), £5.50 a punch (free beer for me)
Went in for yesterday’s game … a ST holder but my first time in the Locker and I was pleasantly surprised. In an hour before kick off and only around 25 people in there but by kick off it was really busy but only used the smaller of the 2 rooms. No tickets required or entry charges, a few traditional sweaty cheese cobs available but sold out early in first half. NoFo beers not on tap in smaller bar so staff had to go into back bar to pour it … decent atmosphere overall … helped by the result 🏴
I did wonder if they were only using the smaller room as a picture the club posted a week or so back only showed the small bar.
That’s unusual, they’re normally pretty good at catering and stocking kits…
Hear the entrance fee reduced to £2 next season to try and entice more away fans in and non-members, not sure on current beer prices, however i imagine not exactly spoons prices
Members be up in arms .
Reduce beer prices by £2 a pint then we may be talking
Makes perfect sense. Get people in to experience it in there rather than putting them off before they have even tried going in.
Still think beer prices are a bit steep and should be a little cheaper than inside the ground though.
3.50 a pint I bet you will be talking (babbling)
Agree, but I’m sure they will have to charge the same price as in the ground or that would be empty and everyone would be in The Locker.
Maybe the answer would be to reduce the beer prices throughout the ground, suites and the Locker, and encourage more fans to go in there full stop.
Cheaper beer prices means more fans prepared to go in the ground, and The Locker earlier, and not just for the last pint before kickoff.
The cheaper the beer the more they will sell …simples
A few said 5 quid was a piss take and got accused of moaning as usual on here and on social media looks like the club have seen sense and agree.
Keep the pressure on eventually we will get in for nought and get a free pin badge .
i`d spent £20 when it was cheaper i spend nothing now i cant see how the club think that hiking the prices 2 or 3 times a season makes sense . theyve lost £s from me. sometimes less is more
