On ability he is easily good enough for league 2 given there isn’t a huge gulf between the two leagues and could do with another midfielder who can get close to double figures.

May be a case of he’s said to Moors that respectfully theres no point offering me a new deal, ive had offers from the EFL.
Surely we want to strengthen our team, not weaken it?? Unless Hutch hands in a transfer request and makes it known he doesn’t want to be here I’d be trying everything I can to keep our best player and build around him.
I think he’s got one year left on his deal? Baring in mind he’s available for nothing next season I’m not sure whether we’d get much more than 250k for him as a transfer fee. That’s not a massive amount of money all things considered basically 2.5k per week for a player on a 2 year contract.

Id be happy with signing Sbarra and wouldn’t worry about him being released. I think he has been released because he’s already told the club that he isn’t interested in staying or already has EFL options that he’s going to take up.

Oh to have that ambition! Meanwhile, at Smallsall, we’ll finally make the playoffs in 2035 (and lose to Crewe in the playoffs) after another 10 years of incremental progression!!
It looks like Chesterfield aren’t wasting any time for next season, having already signed Paddy Madden and re-signing Tim Akinola after a very successful loan spell there last season.
These signings are an early indication of a club that are going to give it a real good go at another promotion and completely pass us by, why we continue to strive for stepping stone jumps of incremental progress. Chesterfield appear to be very similar to the recent trajectory of Stockport so fair play to them.
I don’t advocate for us being reckless and irresponsible with our spending this summer but I really hope we can show some bloody ambition with some of our signings. I am quite concerned about the prospect of us re-signing DJT, Flash and/or Jamma. To me, that will be the antithesis of ambition.
Doesn’t really matter who we retain or release as long as we bring in the right players for the starting eleven
What I mean is like retaining Knowles but having a better RWB so he can become competition for a midfield slot as well as RWB all depends how far the budget stretches
Likewise with flash DJT and Matt don’t mind been retained as long as there 4, 5 or 6th choice all bring something different

As for chesterfield or any promoted club momentum is key to build on tbh
I’d be all over his agent 24/7! 
Let’s just sign Sawyers and Oztumer. Who cares if we get promoted, vibes will be impeccable.
