Agreed. Why is there always a call for ex-players even when they did not do well? There is a reason why he might become 4th choice at Barnsley.

The thing is, he stepped up two divisions to play for us. Not only that, we were useless, only won 5 games all season, and a couple of those were because of Stuart Rimmer later in the season, who was obviously far better. Banton was also carrying a knee injury. It was just a bad move for him (and us) As you say it ruined his career really.

When we have signed players they have beem announced, when players have left itās been announced, new contract been announced ā¦ what more can they communicate

I know what you are saying Aldridge, I think what RJW meant was off Sadler or regards Sadler himself, or at least thatās what I hope, cuz as you say they have communicated as much as they can otherwise.

Exactly what I meant. Yes we are getting all the announcements re players coming and going I just feel he needs to step up and show us heās committed to improving the team and apologise for last season.

Same cant belive there has been nothing from saddler or club to say they are sticking with him in nearly 50 years of following walsall I have never felt so flat in pre season. Normally its great who we are signing how will we get on in the new season do they think we can just forget what happened. Saddler needs to come out and say something we might not like what he says but at least show some balls and not just pretend nothings wrong.

Oh dear. I started supporting 93/94 so missed out on this gem.
Decent era to start supporting us, to be fair. You missed a lot of pain. Not that you havenāt had a fair bit yourself.

Itās a really strange situation. For a lot of fans on social media, the anger doesnāt seem to have subsided at all.
I can see the fans forum being a bit feisty and could even see Sadler getting stick in the pre-season friendlies as theyāre not far off now.
If it doesnāt settle (and I personally donāt think it will), itāll be a really weird position to start a season from.
