Actually correct.
They’re now financing it from revenue, and the film stars are effectively quids in.

I’m a little concerned with Ahui, good reports from last year, but with suspension, and at least 2 injuries, only featured in 8 of Drogs 22 games. The up coming season has a pretty joyless feel about it, the nature of the collapse last season makes it difficult to enjoy no matter how well we are doing. I think we will be apprehensive for a majority of the time, shame really it should have been so much better

Go on admit it, you are a time traveller, and this is a pre season post before season 27/28 when we are still trying/hoping to get back into the EFL. Trivela have just given Sadler yet another 3/4 season contract extension after further ā€˜instrumental progress’ after avoiding the drop into the 6th tier with some spectacular last ditch non-defeats!
Like some above, not overwhelmed by our progress so far in our rehash of a new squad for next years struggle, all seems to smack of cheap desperation…come on Trivela shock us with a storming new striker capture (that Sadler can ignore for the entire season).

i can’t see any reason why the playing budget should not be increased this season tbh.
signing young promising players with potential is great and i appreciate.
However we need to show intent and compete for a few experienced players of quality at this level to get us anywhere near top 3 .
Still time obviously but less options as time goes on .

I agree. It’s what I understand as " incremental progress". Generate more revenue in order to reinvest the following season, as opposed to the owners investing more of their money,
Following last season, we should have a bigger playing budget. If not then questions need asking.

would estimate the club overall has increased revenue by 1million this season compared to probably what they expected.
Over to you to you mr boycott!!!

Exactly this! Revenue must have been well above forecast last season. We’ve also lost 3 or 4 of our top earners, which haven’t been replaced yet. All the 4 signings have been young, fairly cheap signings. The first 3, are all from a fairly low standard of football: how do we know they are of the required standard? The thing about signing players like Stirk is that you know they can hack it at the level you are playing at. So, our next signings need to be a mix of League 2/League 1 players, plus a few loans from Championship/ League 1 clubs. Will we get any more in before pre-season training starts, or will we have about 6-7 triallists at the Leamington friendly?!! Same old, same old!!

i really thought they would go out strong and set there stall out tbh especially after last season’s collapse to get fans back on side as quickly as possible.
As i said there is still time but they are testing fans patience with how slow these big captures are taking :crossed_fingers:

It’s all being set up for the statement signing of a leading striker next week… Smashes our wages structure and gets all the fans onside for a rip roaring 25/26 season….

Too many drinks in the sunshine according to Mrs C….. :face_with_spiral_eyes:
