I always felt that Agyei had ability (cracking goal v the sloppies) but didn’t look fully committed at times. Again, I haven’t really followed his career but did notice him scoring the other day, is it Orient?

What happened to Julien Ngoy? I remember the rumour we were paying him 5k a week to play for us. Not sure if it is true but he didn’t exactly tear it up for us. I think he was highly rated by Stoke but I don’t think I have seen his name since, possibly moved abroad or just fell out of the game?

He’s now playing in Turkey for Kasımpasa.

Few decent players released by Mansfield, especially Alfie Kilgour and Hiram Boateng

Think there will be a lot of L1 players released who could do a job for us in L1 next season (here’s hoping) … but an even better job for us in L2 !

Max Crocombe out of contract at Burton would be a quite superb addition to the goalkeeping department. Didn’t realise Anthony Forde has also landed up thee on a short term deal that expires next month.

We do this every year and we never sign any of these players that are known at our level lol

WFTV may get one right this year, you never know.

I’m not following all that nonsense this year. Proper break from it all and worry about it when it kicks off again.

He’s back in Belgium @ KV Nechlen in the Belgium Pro League since 2022 on a 3 year contract thats up in June this year, he was only on a season long loan in 2023 to Kasimpasa

And 2015 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy winner Aden Flint who was immense that season

Looks like we will be losing Jamille next season ! Probably better pay for him

Im still clinging to the hope that it wont be Sadler making the signing! That said if we go up?

If by some miracle/failings of opposition we go up it will be despite not because of Sadler.

That would be a tremendous signing. Made about 7 appearances this season and is way over the hill.

Yep and gets away with straight up insulting people just because he attaches an ai image to it.

But hey, people love a post that says ā€œwe may or may not sign a player, and it may or may not be in the next week. Fetch my wormsā€

The guy doesn’t exist. Has anyone actually SEEN this individual? Perhaps another ghost salary to appease the taxman.
I would imagine very few decent footballers out there would want to come to a club like Walsall in the 4th Division next season with a manager that wouldn’t get a gig as a Sunday morning League boss. Unless of course you are a clogger or a hoofer, who ā€˜gets on’ with the boss.

Whatever division we end up in, whether Sadler’s here or not, it looks like a summer of change in terms of sqaud as there’s a few out of contract, so another summer of overhaul in term of players, which we didn’t get last summer

It will be interesting when we do sign new players guessing who are going to be ā€œSleepersā€.:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Which makes the whole incremental progress meaningless. You need to be signing a good number of the squad on 3 or 4 year deals to do that and its never going to happen
