The Impossible Dream
Donāt worry, Peter Clarke is returning in the Summer, Sadler intends to play him up front as part of a three with Jamma and Albert
Canāt we get Dave Clarke as part of a five .
Ash Taylor is still playing ā¦
So is Chris Hussey at Hednesford
Iāve heard that heās engineered a move to Market Brazenā¦
In the Trivela years, I donāt think we have had too may cast-offs from League 2. You are right on the loanees, but they, overall, they have done well.
The specofoc problem this season was that we lost the top goalscorer in the division in January and it is essentially impossible for a club like us to sign good strikers in January, not least because they are all under contract and because good strikers are at a premium.
Unlike some, I think Levi is a real prospect. I donāt like Harrison much, although he was greeted as a good signing by many on UTS when he came in. For me, Levi was a good signing but Harrison was not.
Other good signings have been Weir, Barrett, Jellis, Williams
I totally agree re Levi Amantchi. He could come really good I reckon
Disagreeā¦.couldnāt trap a bag of cement and canāt head the ball
As a 24 year old, he needs to get a wriggle on if heās a āprospectā. He needs to prove he can do the basics.
Really like Cornelius: would be a better bet than Earing, in terms of fitness.
Iād take Josh March all day as well. Iād like to think heād be better value than DJ and both of these Harrogate players are realistic targets.
Weāve had too many passengers for too long now, in terms of injuries. We need more battle hardened additions to boost the squad.
And even more concerning, he has no idea about off the ball movement.
He has looked ok if he has the ball a bit deeper and is able to run at players but how often is that in our set up?
I hope I am wrong, but I donāt see him making it.
Iād imagine he has been a āprospectā at his 9 other clubs before us at the age of 24 as well. Often quoted we donāt have a big budget, amazes me when we waste it on players like Amantchi.
Amanchi was a stupid cheap signing and not what we needed he is crap his touch is absolutely awful for a start can see why Bromley let him go a team miles behind us at the time as well. We cannot go into league one with players like this if we do manage to go up.
According to Ben Sadler, he was a ālong term targetā
Josh March out of contract at Harrogate. Wants to move back to the Midlands with his young family. From a very reliable source. Id have him just as a real pain player that gets at opposition defenders. DD couldnāt handle him when he played for Stevenage.
Could do a lot worse imo.
If Levi was 19/20 Iād get it but heās meant to be heading into the peak of his career about now. I do like the lad though and heās quite good with h the ball at his feet. However he cannot play as a target man or loan striker to save his life.
Might do well if we end up in L2 for the foreseeable future but will sink in L1.
Is there anything you like or have ever liked about this club?
I think thereās something about him . Heās a trier and with a smaller older head proven strike partner to mentor him could come good. Now, where do you get a smaller, proven goal scorer at this level?
