The Official Summer Transfer Rumour Thread - 2025 edition

I don’t think they’d be too much angst if Gordon was a sub for much of next season.

However the facts are this.

He was injured in late August v Cheltenham. Didn’t return until 14th January v Peterborough.

Two weeks later he then started the Salford game, y’know the one where DJ rescued a point out of nowhere.

DJ of course stayed on the bench for next one which was Gillingham at home and Gordon started again.

Then was injured again right up to Chesterfield in the play offs.

I’m not sure what he gives that Adomah dosen’t so to me if you get Uncs back for another year and have Gordon and Amantchi aswell that is already three forwards who aren’t going to score much so big pressure to get the other two signings right upfront.

Saw something about Jake Tabor from Amersham on Twitter. No idea how true. Would be another non-league punt.

I quite like him - he seems an alright bloke. When he was first here, he put a shift in and tried really hard, but it was clear he was never a natural goalscorer! He was also rarely injured which was also a positive. However, last season, he didn’t have the same energy and he was injured for most of the season - a blessing in disguise as it happened! So, I am struggling to see what he offers. I’d try to offload him and bring George Miller back. Miller and Presley wouldn’t be a bad strike force at this level.

Interesting

Obviously at a low level, but just read he has 127 goals and 40 assist in 91 apps. Some record!

If true it would be positive.

Step 5, so same as Dudley Town.. the level where some of our U18’s got loaned out to.

I guess if one of our youth had a record a half as good as that at that level we’d be wanting to see more of them, so hopefully he must have some potential to step up.

Put it this way. I don’t think Josh Gordon would score 127 goals at that level…

I think that’s a wind up account in reply - I’m sure it used to be someone on here who was really weird and some sort of ultra religious person who threatened to ‘out me’ about 7/8 years ago :joy:

Can’t think of the name right now - Andy D or something? :joy:

His X account is something else. Like some reincarnated Crusader Knight.

Yeah that’s the chap :joy:

Had an unsuccessful trial at Brizzle Rovers last year.

Trivela investors have got to have their cut first, then we will probably have to donate to the ’ Drogheda missing out on Europe fund’.

Word is MK have paid Collins 12 grand a week to get him to drop a division.
Bonkers money at this level.

A certain Evran Wright scored a hatful at that sort of level.
Very risky signing.

The Kuwaiti consortium is clearly following the Hollywood style of ‘speculate to accumulate’!

Don’t worry though - Incremental progress is the new way to go guys!

Not really fair to criticize Trivela if other clubs are spending silly money though, if I have understood your post correctly.

Wonder how the rest of the MK team feel knowing someone is on 12k a week? Surely to be fare they will all be needing a proportionate wage increase, and so it begins…

I’m not mate - I think we (and most other L2 teams) will enjoy taking the Franchise on this season - money bags owners and all….
