The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread 2024 II

:sob::sob::face_vomiting:

Shocking piece of business if truth.

Unfortunately, this would show the level of Trivela’s ambition… or Sadler’s recruitment credentials.

This is Sadler’s team. If goal scoring is a problem next season, then he has no excuses.

No abuse coming his way from me. Hope it works out for JG. Just thought we could do better. If it fails it could be the straw that broke the camels back for Sads. Good luck to both

Secret Squirrel feeding you the info?

Jason the Horse.

If he is signed as a back up someone who can come on with 25 minutes run his socks off etc then it’s an ok signing . If he is signed as a starter is shockingly bad , I’d rather have Gordon coming on than DJT for instance .
If we believe the story the budget has not been cut the. Surely we have a significant chunk left for a decent striker and a decent keeper !!! But are have only signed 2 players after all

The club’s clearly struggling to find anyone better who’s in their price range!!

This shows me that Trivela will not pay the ā€˜going rate’ for a decent forward. We are just gambling on sheer luck. Hope it works but this won’t inspire supporters.

Had better get the home fixtures changed to Fishley Park for Josh now signed

Risky, but maybe this time it will work better. Good luck Josh and many good moments in games.
E: as they say, third time’s a charm.

When he was here previously he turned down staying which was known from the November if memory serves me correctly.
I wasn’t impressed when he came back on loan last season and am even more unimpressed that we’ve signed him.
He runs around a lot (great) so does our neighbours dog.
The same as any player who wears the shirt I’ll applaud them when they play and hopefully he might actually score the odd goal but Christ what an underwhelming signing.

Never doubt WestieJack, might get our wish for DJ back!

Welcome back Josh…I would have preferred a forward with a better record of scoring goals but I know you will give 100% and stretch defences with your constant running.Lets hope the Club have other options to score the goals we need although having said that tightening our defence is a more pressing need. A commanding Goalkeeper would be a start.

This is my concern with this deal if it’s a big chunk of our budget. Not exactly an investment is it at his age but who knows how it’ll go (hopefully not like the previous two occasions).

Nothing on the OS or X. Seems strange but maybe they are saving the big nnews for when he is back off holiday. Seems strange though it being pedalled by a third party not 24 hours after the meeting and having read the comments on here and elsewhere.

Maybe its duff news

Didn’t josh Gordon win player of the year 2019/20 ?
Like majority of fans I think we’d be better looking elsewhere but if he puts the shirt on and gives 100 percent he’ll get my backing, I’d say Richard O’Kelly is all for this and like it or not he’s forgotten more than any of us know, if JG reads this forum as I’m sure he does then that should give him all the motivation needed to push on and have a good season.

Not delighted with Gordon but it is what it is. He is extremely good at pressing which Sadler loves so will add that for us, I just hope he can bang a few more goals in this time. If we can get Faal on a year’s loan then I’ll be reasonably pleased with our strike force.
