Good news, goals scored by other players also count, and Walsall scored more goals than for the last 8 seasons
We scored 69 goals - 31 of them scored by Hutchinson, Draper or Faal.
Weāll need to replace those goals if weāre going to hit similar numbers next season.
For balance - how many goals did we let in compared to previous seasons ?
Playing devils advocate and utilising players who warmed benches last year who may not this year Goals replaced

Next money ball problem please
Yes, like every other season!!
My moneys on he will say heās generally happy with the squad as it stands
oh dear . oh dearš
And they have mainly all gone with one player ā¦.
Whoās no longer here!!
Also without checking Iād imagine that isnāt the case for goals from open play. Nothing wrong with goals from set pieces but the stat isnāt indicative of an improvement in our attacking play.
Also comparing anything against our recent history should show an improvement, we would be in some trouble if it got worse.
We definitely need more goals adding to our squad, seeing as 3 of the players who scored the most goals for us last season are no longer with us.
I think DJ moving on and signing two more strikers is still the smart bet of the summer.
Guess weāll see if he features at Alvechurch or Tamworth as he needs minutes.
No. Donkey. Next.
So we deserve credit for scoring 50% more goals, even though everybody did the same, but itās not our fault that we conceded 48% more goals because everybody did the same?
No sign of him on the training pitch! Facebook pics show the squad in action but no DJ!
Surely the last thing they need is someone blasting music out whilst they are trying to train
Well if you canāt look at goals conceded in isolation - you surely canāt look at goals scored in isolation then either
No need to, more goals scored all round and more goals conceded all round. Everyoneās doing it.
If DJ goes we will need 3 forwards, the consequence of re-signing Matt and his inability to play full games and back to back games regularly means I am fairly certain we will go into the season with 5 forwards in our squad (unless we have a recall option on Doug Taylor?)
Can you point me to where I said we deserve credit please?
Why thereās an incessant need to be negative about Walsalls goal scoring prospects when it was much improved last season is just weird.
