The un-Official Winter Transfer Rumour Thread

Everyone excited for today :rofl::hourglass_flowing_sand::alarm_clock::rofl:

Class.

BIG day for us (and our rivals no doubt). Like many still feel we need a strong addition up front and in midfield to balance out the losses through injury. Got no names to suggest and no insider information just a burning desire to see us “strengthen” for the run in. Would like to hope both positions will see someone over the line but it’s not great for the stress levels to be in such a position with 15 hours remaining but I believe all concerned are doing their best. I was underwhelmed with Amanthci addition BUT like many quite pleased with his positive debut on Saturday, so I will wait and see. Don’t expect to get a lot of work done today with the constant “refresh” of all platforms :rofl: … enjoy the drama of the day fellow Saddlers

I wonder if they’ve cordoned off any area by reception for sky sports news reporters, with live feedback and reporters confirming “ all quiet at the Bescot “

I wouldnt be at all surprised if we didnt make any more signings today. If we only need about 8 wins and Jamma has recovered, I think we may try and muddle through and preserve any resources for the summer recruitment. May prove to be a risky strategy.

Norfolk is East Coast, not South Coast??

I believe it was supposed to be located near Eastbourne on the south coast but most of the exterior filming was done in Thetford, Norfolk.

At last, someone not mangling Dad’s Army history.

It was Walmington-on-Sea and Arthur Lowe was Captain Mainwaring.

There is a museum in Thetford.

If you’re referring to me, I was taking the Michael.

I used to live in Thetford for a year - the town itself is a right dump, but the countryside around it is lovely.

Is dad’s army worth a watch or has it not aged well?
Ive heard of it , never seen as before my time

I’m astounded at that, be amazed if you havent heard the theme tune, but worth a watch yeah, theres a couple of more modern films that might be better for you - once you understand the characters then you’ll probably find it funnier.
