I was thinking is there something underhand happening with that website trying to unsettle our season.
He’s not a Jellis or a Lakin, but playing alongside them would make for an amazing midfield. Not forgetting that Earing has struggled with injuries this season and it is a playmaker like him who I would see Sawyers supplementing. That said, there’s loads in league One or the Championship who admire RS’ talents.
I suppose if someone offers 1million for Stirk we would have to consider it seeing he is out of contract at the end of the season

I’ll trust Sadlers judgement on whatever he decides with Sawyers. Consisdering his likely wage I don’t think he will go for him but I might be proved wrong. As some others have said I don’t think he is a Sadler esque player, you need to put a massive amount of work in to play for Sadlers team. I never thought Sawyers was lazy at all but at 33 I’d be surprised if he had the legs for this system.
It’s similar to DJ, clearly a good player at league 2 level but can’t do the things the manager wants him to. Let’s be honest nobody can question Sadlers decisions currently.

I dont think we’d be paying Sawyers anywhere near the money he wants to be honest. Could still easily piss playing in a Top end L1 team at the minimum, therefore bringing in the money that comes with it.
I think the one moth deal at Wimbledon was probably one of those, we’ll help you put yourself in the shop window/keep match fitness up and you help us for a month until the Window opens, type deals.

I have had the same thought, lots of ifs buts and maybes, but there would be sense in Lowe staying with us assuming we go up rather than Stoke finding him another club in L1.
Lots of things need to fall into place though.
