He’s not coming back no matter how today pans out.
The fact he’s starting tells you how they rate him and also how he’s looked in training this week and they won’t change that opinion based on a game or even 2/3.
I dont expect him to have the same impact at stoke as he had here obviously but I expect him to have reasonably regular minutes and to hit 4/5 goals before the end of the season.
Yes, if he is playing for Stoke, we cannot complain about that. I am a little surprised that they think he is ready but, if he does well, what a compliment that is to the coaches at Bescot.
People have likened him to Allan Clarke (with Jamma as his George Kirby) and Sniffer always had that air of confidence/arrogance that he was good enough. And he was so let’s hope Lowe can play with the same swagger.
I really want lowe to score today. He’s a top player and will hopefully do well wherever he plays. If stoke are keeping him he deserves to be playing at some point in the matches
After watching us today we need to replace Lowe with another striker, but I’d say it’s more imperative that we tie the likes of JJ and Williams down to new terms.
I love both of them - great finds. William’s finish was brilliant. Today was a real test against a good side - I’m starting to believe. I’d like to see us sign another midfielder and also another striker, to deputise for Jamma when needed.
I’m sure with Jamma going off today as a precaution with cramp will almost certainly highlight the need to have a like for like replacement for him in the transfer window, while also adding to the squad with a replacement for Lowey. Total faith that we’ll do this
