I’d take that right now.

I was so certain we would do it.

7 away games out of 12 and we probably need 5 wins. I’m beginning to feel it isn’t going to happen for us.

I’m deliberately not going on here tonight @Blazing_Saddler but when Flynn came to Walsall and we beat Forest Green with a George Miller goal, I see a lot of parallels.

Swindon have under performed this season but we have over performed, just as Forest Green did that year.

I’m keeping everything crossed that we can get over the line. I think that our young players sense the tension but I believe that Sadler’s calm approach will bring its rewards this season.

Keep the Faith!

There’s a quarter of the season left. If the teams below win the game in hand then we only have a 6 point cushion over 4th place. There are 3 teams that look as if they will gain 6 points more than us in the last 12 games.

I’m starting to think about playoffs let’s be realistic. Disappointing but still better than the last 5 years of crud

Walsall till I die

That would be a disaster.

Would we ever get out of this awful league again?

What would happen to Trivela’s business model and attendances?

Imagine the summer preparing for another League 2 season?

We MUST get promoted.

I think Bradford will go up as champions. I hope we make the top 3 but am seriously worried about not doing so which would be so humiliating after the lead we had. Next season we need to invest in our own proven goalscorers so we cannot have the rug pulled from under us every January.

Finishing outside the top 3 would be so demoralising after a great season up tIl xmas.
If we dont finish top 3 then the team will be so traumatised that the play offs will be a waste of time and not getting some experienced midfielders in January will have been the cause of it.
Not feeling confident tonight.

Also on a side note not convincing me at all is sadler how he is utilising this squad of many players to keep them fresh.
Barrett needs dropping so laid back today and what does weir need to do to get a run of games.

I shudder to think what next season would look like if we miss out on promotion.

The final run ins of Bradford and Doncaster are much tougher than ours (on paper), also I would have expected Wimbledon, Notts and Vale to have been more consistent to date.
A pessimistic Walsall run, with just 3 wins and including defeat away at Doncaster and two home draws vs Wimbledon and Port Vale.
A realistic Bradford and Doncaster run based on current form,

Bradford 84
Walsall 83
Doncaster 81

I assumed Notts, Wimbledon or Vale would need an exceptional run to get into the top three, then I did them, being generous in their form.

Port Vale 86
Bradford 84
Wimbledon 84
Walsall 83
Notts County 82
Doncaster 81

They won’t all be consistent, I think we’ll end up in the top three.
