If you’re planning to get to Saturday’s match by train you may want to sort a plan B.
A lineside fire has taken out signalling and power cables, and trains are unlikely to run until at least mid-day, possibly much longer. There may be a skeleton shuttle service between Rugeley and Walsall (there was today), but other than that it’s rail replacement buses or the X51 service between Walsall bus station and Priory Queensway if you’re coming via New Street.
I don’t know if there are bus replacements serving Bescot Stadium. Local bus services should be running as normal.
Is this the work of Russian saboteurs, like the Olympics?!!

You might very well think that; I couldn’t possibly comment.

Cheers for that. I had planned to get the train from Cannock.
Can sort getting there but getting back hopefully they are running or it will be the never ending X51 bus.
I’ve booked a taxi from Birmingham Airport to the Bescot.
One train from Birmingham at 13:45 still timetabled but no guarantee.
Timeline saying return trains still OK.
Hope so, return flight at 7:30pm.

They show as running as normal on the app.
What have the Russians got against Rushall
Seems they sorted it out faster than they thought. Good news.
Anyone know what the situation is today? I was planning on getting the train down from hednesford at around 10am?
Looking good at the moment.
