Tranmere Away

That’s simply not true. All legal limits on social contact have been removed.

Guarantee we get a reduced allocation , something isn’t right here.

Absolute madness!

I think so too. Else, why the delay on getting the tickets on sale? The EFL must be in clubs’ ears about it as it’s not affected pre season games.

But why not issue a statement advising fans of possible restrictions, that way people can make alternate plans and not waste their time waiting around.

I’m on the coach from Yates’s at 9am if there’s bullshit restrictions limited tickets or social distancing or having to wear a mask in the ground there will be a spare seat on the coach

This is common across many football clubs. Portsmouth hadn’t even made a full announcement on season tickets until yesterday. I think they all suspect some restrictions to reappear and hinder their ability to let in all fans again. I would think the Football League get whispers from the government, so there may well be something in that…perhaps “don’t let too many in until we can get the vaccine passport requirement set up”?

"don’t let too many in " have you seen the average attendance at league 1 and 2 games compared to stadium size it’s social distancing every match before anyone heard of Coronavirus , Stevenage Vs Barrow opening game must be a real headache for the government there Will be more people in the local Stevenage Asda than at the football ground

On tickets generally, have we even announced match day prices for fans without season tickets, never mind putting any on sale yet?
The Doncaster game is £10/£5, but what about the league games.

Here is another example then it tells us the price for the Doncaster game then says tickets not on sale yet Why ??
Then to make things even more strange I looked on Coventry city’s forum to see what’s going on There with tickets, they sent 1,800 to Forest that sold out straight away and have now sent them 2,000 more so it’s nothing to do with club’s waiting for government advice

Absolutely. The whole thing is a complete farce. “possible restrictions” if you want to restrict yourself fill your boots, let everyone else (at last) get on with life.

Its been such an unpleasant experience so far that only an absolutely cracking day out would come close to balancing things up. If this is going to be the way of things going forward its going to put a lot of people off and that will finish lower division football as we know it.

Result! Football is only about the premier anyway. Premier league one and two, coming your way soon.

I think you’re missing the point. This is the government talking. Do you think they know or care about league two clubs?

I don’t think the government are too concerned about a thousand Walsall fans traveling to the Wirral I don’t understand what’s going on to be honest but something is not right.

Again, you miss the point. Government sets policy (I use the term loosely when it comes to this lot) based on what perceive football to be - the premier league. They don’t even stop to think about clubs at our level, it means nothing to them. We just have to follow the same rules as Chelsea, Arsenal etc.

The Government can do what they like, but that shouldn’t stop either club communicating the issue a little better.

I’m not sure what more Walsall can say in fairness. “We will sell the tickets when we get them”. Seems clear enough to me, not sure what the confusion is.

Well it’s the general communication isn’t it, will we get a full allocation or will we only get 500?

If it’s a limited number of tickets then some might save money on train or coach tickets etc…

I reckon that’s why they are waiting until they actually get the tickets to sell. To me this is all on Tranmere.

Yes it could have been communicated by now. Communicated by the hosts.

Exactly that’s why I said either club :+1:t2:

But it’s not “either club” is it? It’s Tranmere. We can’t give out a ticket allocation they haven’t given us?
