Happy birthday …that is very good representation of poor Cameron Norman today. Other than winning one or two headers he had a torrid time against Liam Gordon.
Happy Birthday HS - enjoy your cake!
4-0 loss to the Gills is a distant memory
Firstly, well done to everyone involved in getting the game on today. After last week being off it was important we played today. Done a great job when most of our leagues’ games were called off.
Tranmere had a bit of a go at the end of the first half, I was getting a bit worried how they were targeting Gordon on the back post with crosses a clear mismatch in height, but it didn’t carry on in the second half. An early goal for us in the second half calmed any nerves really, and we coasted to victory.
Stirk was class, Jellis was back firing. Jamma was a right handful, what a header for the first goal. The pass from Lowe for the Jellis goal, such class. If he does go back, I have bloody loved watching him, superb talent.
Well done Big Dave for stopping McEntee from getting sent off.
This team is going up. We are just so much more efficient than any other team. It will break mine and my kids hearts if we don’t.
Record breaking Saddlers!
The Walsall.
So much for the manager of the month so called curse. Can we put this to bed now? We’re so enjoyable to watch. And our goal difference is getting ridiculous
The man seems to have tempered his own physical commitment, as well, this season. Stepped his game up.
Sadler hinting on WM that the game probably wouldn’t have been on if it wasn’t on Sky so presumably they part funded the heated cover.
Big Dave, he has made that spot his own. I know McEntee played midfield today and a few other sub appearances, but Dave has been keeping him out at centre back and many consider McEntee to be our best centre back.
Is anybody able to upload the Lowe/Jamma interview please?
Hmm. He’s the only member of this side I’m not completely sold on at this point. Gives away some very poor free kicks, and can be clumsy on the ball. I personally would prefer McEntee there, in his actual position, and Lakin back in midfield to be honest.
I missed that. Brilliant. Up there with “we can’t see you sneeking out” in the fog v Newport (or it could have been Donny)
Well I was involved in picking man of the match today. We could have given it to pretty much any of the team. Stirk, Williams, Gordon all played superb but Jamma got it for his work rate, 100% commitment, and of course his 2 goals that were both at important times. Met him after the game. Local lad and you couldn’t wish to meet a nicer, more humble guy. He spent time with the guy who has just got to 100 years old and was happy to have photos with everyone who asked. He said he hopes Lowe stays but the decision by Stoke hasn’t been made yet.
Dave is certainly steadier this season than I could dared hope for . But he still has at least one daft moment a game - today it was a needless free kick he gave away after 10 mins giving Tranmere a good little spell which included two half chances .
I get Sadler sticking with him as the defence as a unit has done so well but I sure would love to see McEntee in there longer term
Pleased to see you back Wilts as you’ve been quiet for a while, I did ask on here a few days ago if you were ok, hope all is well and you are enjoying our promotion charge, Lump on mate.
Have to say that Tranmere side is one of the worst I’ve seen in a long time. Absolute dog rough. They even resorted to hacking players down at 2 nil. Mcentee was lucky not to be sent off he threw an arm, but their bloke proper tried to do him in tbf, luckily he missed and fell on his arse. He was rightly angry.
And what a delight it is we don’t have to put up with absolute dross like Cameron Norman anymore. Sent for a hot dog and fries for the 3rd. Tranmere keeper was also laughably crap. Did K Morris even touch the ball? Didn’t realise he was playing till get got subbed off
I seem to say it every week now but I really love how we are always looking to score goal after goal. At times we give the ball away trying too hard but I’d rather that than Flynn ball. I’m absolutely chuffed that these lads have the new record, they totally deserve it.
did they have a day out carting or something this week
our third win this season winning by four goals and we’re what half way through, love that mentality
I’d love to see some stats on us scoring first. We always score first, makes the game way easier when you do that…
There is an argument for McEntee to play there, definitely. I don’t think Dave has let anyone down, he is certainly playing at a higher standard than at some points last season. Seems to have a bit of trouble when the ball is dropped in behind him.
We haven’t scored the first goal in four league games this season
Tranmere away
MK Dons away
Crewe home
Notts County away
