There was little potential football on for sky given the fa Cup weekend and we were an attractive game. They needed a lunchtime kick off and I’m very glad a beneficial arrangement was found for all. Especially after the result

Well I think Sky and there audience got there Money’s worth it was fantastic entertainment and a great advert for Walsall fc .everyone’s a winner baby .do they do Hot chocolate at the Poundland.because they should .

I suspect sky’s advice to the league went something along the lines of “we’ve paid you a shit load of money for these games, if you can’t show you’ve done everything practical and reasonable to get this on and give us our games it’s breach of contract which could be a lot more expensive for you that paying for a tent and some gas”

Yeah I hope they get some grief for being the only team to cancel their game last weekend. As we showed yesterday, really no excuse for them.

Apart from the costs being paid by everyone else.
Wouldn’t have cost as much though. Only needed to heat the bit of their ground that was in the shade.

They did cause they’d picked it anyway, and knew all the rest would be goners. Needed a game to put on with it being FA cup weekend which they have no rights too. Would have been struggling to put a game on the tv otherwise. Not really a coincidence they had one on in each time slot.
Sadler basically confirmed this was the case without saying it outright.

Had game been off we wouldn’t have had lowe in replay so alls good.
Stadia & Grounds did 3 grounds this week, Walsall, Rotherham & Leicester Tigers all matches on, the Villa Womens game on sunday as well.

A "normal " sky Saturday lunchtime would include at least a couple of championship games, with at least one probably on with under soil heating. Unlike last Saturday with it being cup weekend. That’s why they needed us
Walsall FC, Sky TVs ‘Main Event’ with them paying a hefty sum to help ensure the game goes ahead
