Well they will know today if it’s worked then, as it was ridiculously cold last night.
If it’s playable today, it will be tomorrow. Should be an easy call on that basis.

I also think being a walsall fan over the last 10 years has made a lot of fans negative and believing the seasons gonna crumble away like it so often does
I think fans are finding it hard to get overly excited at the moment that we can actually do it

How long does it take them to dismantle the tent and pack it away?
That is obviously a critical factor as the longer the pitch is subjected to sub zero temperatures the more likely it is to be frozen.
The Beeb is predicting -3°C at 9:00am, -2°C at 10:00am, -1°C at 11:00am and 0°C at 12:00pm.

All you need do is get the Chauffeur to warm up the motor for about an hour before you need to leave and warm up yourself with the mistress at the same time.
It’s all to do with sky TV and fire sticks. And the fact that even though we’re doing well, we’re a poorly supported club considering the size of the town. The argument that we’ve got Villa,wolves, Albion etc within 5 miles doesn’t add up, look at Stockport, they’ve got 2 of the biggest clubs in the world on their doorstep and their attendances are pretty healthy.

I’m taking from personal experience Andy. It’s only this season I’ve started attending on a regular basis, I’ve attended occasionally over the past few years but it’s been easier to stop at home and watch on TV and turn to another channel when it got too bad as it often has over the past few years. I’m assuming there are lots of saddlers fans who live farther away than I do who still watch on TV rather than make the effort to travel to the ground. It’s even easier now with games on sky+. It will take a while before we can guarantee 6,000 home fans every home game which we obviously deserve now.
PS. Yes Stockport fans have fire sticks and sky+ and yet still get a lot bigger attendances than we do.

I’ll be there tomorrow. Setting off at 9:00am tuned into Radio 5 live all the way until I can pick up radio WM hoping all the way that it can be played.
95 miles each way. I expect to arrive around 10:30 ish and get a bite to eat before going to the ground and picking up my tickets for the Peterborough game.

I’m guessing the car would have been started and warmed up to 28.7° by a member of staff (just as you like it) and you’d have been escorted down the vast concrete stairs that sit infront of your huge country house(one of three I might add) with a butler on each arm so you didn’t slip.

It has taken Stockport a lot of pain, a lot of ambition and a lot of years to get where they are with their gates.
Every Club has their own story, and ours hasn’t been pretty for a long time. It won’t happen overnight. It may not happen at all, it’s not an easy thing to do.

I dunno, I am pretty excited and expecting us to finish the job.
I do think at this moment in time we just don’t have as many supporters as people think. Yes we can fill the ground for a big game (with the help of away fans) but we need to attract more fans that want to come on a regular basis and this won’t happen overnight.
I want us to grow but honestly if we can do it this season, it is for all the fans that stuck with it through all of the rubbish, especially the younger fans that have never seen us do anything of note.
