Trivela Group Takeover

Both crap.

I would have been in favour of keeping Dutton. I genuinely think we’d be further down the road of having a successful team by now instead of 2 seasons effectively wasted.

Of course just an opinion, so can’t prove this.

I think it’s becoming very obvious that constantly changing the manager and nobody else is not a solution…

No, but there’s plenty of evidence to the contrary.

Arguing the toss over the levels of shiteness of 2 managers with win rate precentages that could be the alcohol content in a pint of carling.

We certainly would have been further down the road with Dutton…the road to Solihull Moors

Agree. Dutts was a better manager than Sadler. He understood that the first step in building a successful side is being hard to beat. Unfortunately Dutts side was horrible to watch but the squad he had wasn’t as good as Sadler’s. Dutts was a covid caretaker manager and although the football served up was terrible I can at least understand the clubs point of view then and respect Dutts for his efforts.

Fast forward to summer 2023 and we’ve got significant investment in the side (more so then for Dutton anyway) but the strange decision to appoint Sadler. This was for a brand new future vision - not a covid stop gap. Unproven and with the ambition to play front foot attacking football. Well Mr Sadler much as that sounds good maybe you should get on the phone to Brian Dutton to understand that attacking football is no good if you can’t defend.

That’s the one period I thought we were definitely going down.

It was the wrong time for Dutton to be given his first managerial role.

Who’s to say he won’t improve as the years go on. Starting in non league is a better career progression for him.

I would mention that Darrell Clarke started his managerial career with Salisbury in that same division. Dutton was one of their players for some of that time. Clarke went in to get them promoted twice in 3 seasons before moving to Bristol Rovers who he got promoted back into the League then up to League One.

I know some on this site do a lovely job of rewriting history on certain players and managers but is it really happening for Briab?

:joy:

The lack of communication is a concern, there needs to be some serious investment in January and if there isn’t it won’t look great. Unless we mobilise as a fanbase were destined to rot in this league until we eventually exit through the trapdoor. The next protest needs to be more organised than the one nearly two years ago.

The protests always end up with fans arguing what is the best way to protest and then they don’t have as much impact.

I don’t think it was due to organisation. ISSA did a good job in my view. Problem, as usual, was apathy

Saw this on social media

think about what Ā£1,000,000 would do if it went into the playing budget. Understandable that isn’t sustainable long term but imagine even half of that figure. I understand the reasoning behind buying drogs but not at the detriment of us. You sort out one problem before you go buying another

Are you shitting me?

They’re investing a million pounds in another club, while I’m paying even more to watch this crap?

Over the course of my life, I’ve had maybe around 15 - 20 season tickets over my time as going with my Dad as a kid and now as an adult. There’s no way I’m digging my hand into my pocket again next year if I don’t see serious investment in this football club. Never felt that way under Bonser, never felt that way under Pomlett. But this is an egregious slap in the face to the fans they bullshitted 18 months ago talking about acceleration and investments.

I’ll pick and choose, and go to the away games, which are quite frankly more fun anyway.

Oh he was poor. He was out of his depth. The point I’m making is he tried to make something what he had. In those games he tried to shut up
Shop - sensible. Sadler is off his rocker. He has better players. Just as bad if not worse.

Dutton was out of his depth no doubt but obviously could see what needed to
Be done. Do any of us think Sadler knows what he’s doing

Let’s all just agree that this club deserves and should be able to do better than both Sadler and Dutton?

1 those players where brought in and coached by a management team that included Brian Dutton.

2 pointing out correctly that Dutton was shite is not a defence of Sadler, whose also been shite.

Million pound transfer kitty in January then if everything Trivela have said is true! Looking forward to it!

It was well advertised, it was even on Radio WM.

Not as many turned up as expected, and what made matters worse was that it was meant to continue after the game, but because we won people lost interest.

It was put together in a few days, maybe take a bit more time if there is a next time but unless people back any protest then there isn’t much you can do.

Can you ask DH if he has put in a request at the undertaker for a new coffin.
