Your taking the michael :grimacing: ÂŁ1 million being invested into another club when were in dire straits

Thought that was Mark Knopfler? You live and learn…

Going to use a secondhand one mate

Seeing as. everything about the Club at the min. Is done on the cheap might as well follow suit lol

I think I’m on your train of thought, but I think Dutton was better than Sadler. Sadler is our worst manager since Hutchings or Mullen.

Why do we employ these people

ÂŁ1m in to that Irish team while we risk going out the FL. Nice one lads.

Hmmm, clearing debts and investing off the field sounds very familiar. Almost as if that’s their working model…

They won’t do that shows what there interests are and its not football

Exactly this. How do people think a multi club ownership model works? You need to own more than one club for a start.
In both cases looks like they’re trying to get the foundations of the club solid initially whilst trying to improve the on pitch performance gradually.
The point about the money for Drogheda is that not all of their funding is for use on us, they will have raised a new tranche of investment for the Drogheda purchase. Any money allocated here will be solely for us, the increased prices here will have gone into the budget here. How successfully it’s spent is a different issue.

We have a top 10 budget in this league. A good manager could easily make us a top 7 side. We lose to Sutton, Harrogate and Barrow all teams with very small budgets compared to ours. The problem at Walsall right now is not lack of investment its lack of a decent manager. Trivela’s big mistake is appointing Sadler

Who doesn’t understand it? I’d still rather they sorted this shit out first. I couldn’t give a shit what their model is, I’m a walsall fan, not a Drogheda or a Trivela business model fan. Spending a million pounds on another football club while this one is failing (again) and putting the prices up is outrageous.

I would say this decision came as the cheap option from the old board of the Dame, Gamble & Mole, who know nothing about the football side and the new owners, who also know jackshit about football went along with their recommendations

The blind leading the blind

At what point would we be happy for them to buy another club?
Comfortably mid table?
In play off places?
Promoted?
Established in league one?
There will never be a right time, always more to be done, but that’s the way it is at the moment.
We can moan about it, protest about it if we want but it probably won’t change a dollar.
Until things become more established and accounts scrutinised we’re just guessing

Might be a good idea to stop one from dropping out of the EFL first… Won’t see much return on investment if it happens.

Not “absolutely shit” for a start, but considering they sold themselves as “accelerators to promotion” I’d guess that would be fair to accept first before ploughing money into another club.

We’re not guessing at anything! Those are direct quotes :joy:

I missed the press release where they said we wouldn’t be “absolutely shit”

I didn’t miss the one where they called themselves accelerators. I’d have thought that would have been a given, yet here we are.

Would have made a decent chant

We’re shit
You said we wouldn’t be
We’re shit
You said we wouldn’t be.

It was purely Boycotts decision he held the interviews and was impressed by Sadler proving he knows nothing about league 2 football

It still would.
