Trivela Group Takeover

Grow up ! Arguing ? Seriously.

Thsts agreeing to disagree

You arrive throwing an insult. Says more about you than me that does.

Anyone is capable of saying something obtuse occasionally. If someone is repeatedly doing it , and getting more and more absurd with each challenge, you need to step back and question their motives. Not everyone is arguing as sincerely you are.

Gave some bored people something to focus on during a quiet season but otherwise served no purpose.

Delighted to report that there is a SWAG shop in High Street Walsall next to the entrance to the Old Square Shopping Centre. Despite searching high and low there’s not a scrap of WFC merchandise in there.

SWAG had the best drawstring bags.

I’m pretty sure this is where the club shop got their idea from and just changed the colour somewhat …

Jeff Bonser costume?

Thanks @Semaj.

Terrific read that.

I know how Boycott feels when he says ‘quietly pensive’ when he/we should be looking forward to the weekends.

It’s nice to have something to fight for though.

Really proud of the club and their attempts to build something with substance that has some longevity.

“Quietly pensive” :joy:
I look forward to reaching those levels of heady optimism :grimacing:

Very interesting read, thanks.

Now we know why there’s a shortage of replica kits

“My extended family are super-fans,” he says. “The aunts and uncles and parents are watching every game and buying the kits. My wife and daughter are into it too and love watching the games, but at the same time there’s that element where it’s the thing that makes Dad really quiet and pensive every Saturday morning."

A great read and interesting to hear Bens views on the ‘flip’ approach to acquisition, investment and returns (not for Trivela he says…)

Clearly they have a longer term ‘community’ approach which appears to be working so far - be great to see the results of the consistency of this model as we progress on the field…

Thanks for this.

Interesting that BB believes that our attendance figures will increase with investment. Suggests to me if we go up they will ensure we are competitive at least.

“It’s a very dangerous investment if you are trying to be a quick-buck artist,” he says. “It’s dangerous culturally too, because you’re playing with something that really matters to a lot of people, and clubs get hurt that way. I don’t think that’s right.
I really like this he says in that article.`

Reminds me of this:

Or from TS Eliot’s wonderful ‘Wasteland’:

O you who turn the wheel and look to windward,
Consider Phlebas, who was once handsome and tall as you

To Binser that was the Bournemouth, Luton and Rotherhams of the world, but non league is full of once-rivals too. Be wise, Trivela…
