Looking through Ben Sadler’s twitter just now, he said the other day that the club looked into changing the view of the camera box above the dugout to the opposite side ontop of the family stand, but decided against it as it would have cost in the region of £100,000 and the club felt it would be money better spent elsewhere.
What would it have achieved?

Guessing it’s mainly an aesthetic thing. The OAP stand is usually more full than the family one. As Ben points out, better things to spend 100k on!

Well you’d also get the dugouts in shot, and there does seem to be a bit of a blind spot looking down that near side from behind them.
100k can build an house for that much.
Need to shop around for a better price

Yeah, A hundred grand for some scaffolding, a few planks of 4 x 2 and a tarpaulin

The social media dept are pretty good at filming the empty fam stand too. Always makes me smile.
You’d have thought someone would still have the parts from the old telly tower from Fellows Park stacked behind a shed.
