Haven’t you heard we are signing Arnautovic, Ruddy, Dominic Telford and even Bale has had a mention. These must be the four signings that were done 2 or 3 weeks ago
Sensible investment will be the order of the day.
Thanks Simon and DH. I know that is one of the benefits of having a Trust. Fingers crossed. In all honesty it doesn’t matter who owns it, they could all abuse it. The only way to ensure the club is in secure hands, would be fan ownership and that brings other issues. As fans I think we have been burned enough so I get the scepticism.
You would hope that success will bring a better return until they wish to sell. So fingers crossed.
Nomad,
Fourth division of English football would be a good step up for those in the MLS!
Not correct sir. I’ve attended many Dynamo games, the standard is much higher than L2.
Has anyone checked that @Walsall4eva and his twin brothers are OK? Today’s news may have been too much for them
There’s plenty of what I can only describe as jealousy flying around even blokes I’ve worked with for years who support the dingles or the Vile when I told them you can see it in their eyes not quite sure why.
Yes, you can move to the parking lot now.
Agreed… I’ve been to few Charlotte FC games this season and the standard has vastly improved.
Really interesting chat with Crawley Town investors. Maybe Gives some insight into Trivela’s intentions?
Well i think this is big and hope it works out, as i for one would love to see better burgers lol seriously if they brought back the early bird season ticket i can see them getting another thousand maybe more. The other question is does that mean we get to play an american team. Whatever happen for them to be successful they have to get fans back in the ground and at current costs that could be hard.
The events of the day summed up by the E&S
We will all have to wait and see what happens with the new investors, apparently they have already made an investment into the club so I hope some of those funds goes to Flynn.
Hats off the Leigh for making this happen, should Trivela purchase the freehold in the next couple of years Pomlett didn’t break his word about the 5 year plan.
I remain cautiously optimistic about the new ownership, I don’t think they would have invested in us if we weren’t a viable proposition for them, Leigh would never allowed the sale if it wasn’t the right fit.
If they can help us on the pitch I will be fully behind them.
Salah and Mane are thinking of leaving Liverpool.
Pity Joe never picked up on the ACV notification. Was clear at that point something was going on.
can anyone do the scooby meme and replace bonser with boycott please lol
Leave me out of this.
Please tell me Scrappy is dead, really effed up a great cartoon, little prick.
Anyone who’s currently lauding Pomlett’s judgement for picking these guys needs to remember a name - Jamie Fullarton…
Yeah few big big questions for me
-
Leigh Pomlett has not made one single good appointment as of yet and his judgment has proven to be poor. How can we trust that this is good for WFC when all he does is chat nonsense and fail to deliver
-
it’s a “football group” so akin to the Red Bull, City Group thing. I hope there are no ridiculous name or colour changes akin to Hull and Cardiff
-
what’s this groups model / plan / long term plan and how do we fit in to it. We’ve been told for Decades … sustainable, live within our means, don’t spend what we haven’t got. Does this change ?
Pondered quite a while before posting as the words “American venture capitalists” made me shiver a bit.
But then I reflected on where we are and who we are and bar finding a Benevolent Walsall multi millionaire this kind of deal was possibly the only way out of the stagnation and malaise the club has found itself in during recent years.
I hope there is a decent balance of investment and continuing to live in proximity to our means. I hope we modernise the culture and execution throughout the place.
But possibly more than anything, I hope all those lapsed fans who over the last twenty years have said “I won’t set another foot in the place until……” remain true to their word and return to support their club.
Let’s strap in, roll a odd dice or two and enjoy the ride. Most outcomes are better than idling along in the bottom half of the fourth division.
Up The Saddlers.
