At this point last year I was languishing in 4th or 5th.
I utterly routed everyone, humiliating them, and eventually silencing their howling cries of outrage and anguish.
I claimed a glorious triumph and wrested the crown back from JJ, who snaffled it from me in 2016.
I hold it still.

Re-overtaken. I was cut adrift and forlorn until a vast improvement recently. An improvement that will continue unabated and unchecked.
Like a rampant bacterialogical infection of the gonads.

Update after yesterday’s games. Some popular home bankers came through for people so scoring was generally pretty good. Winning score was 4 points, achieved by addo, RedandWhite and Shrewsbury_Saddler - well done to you all!
The top two now have a nice little gap emerging - is it a two horse race or will a stallion emerge from the pack and catch them up in the second half of the season?!

Must admit I’ve been riding my luck recently. Yesterday 3 of the 5 goals that got me the weekly win were in 1st and 2nd half stoppage time. The week before a 93rd minute goal got me two points. Good fortune like that only lasts so long…
