UTS Prediction League History

Season Two (see above) was largely a two horse race, and Manchester Saddler led the pack for 10 weeks and even led by a point going into the last day. However Atomic Rooster secured the win, gaining the vital point on Manchester in the last week and becoming the only predictor to ever to snatch victory at the end. Even though both players ended on 99 points, this was the one and only season where Flemish diligently recorded a list of weekly wins and this was determined to separate the pair. On to season three.

Season Three Final Table

Season three began with a raft of new posters keen to give it a go. In what proved to be a most challenging season for some, even the two former winners found themselves in the wrong half of the table, while some other, cough, usual suspects struggled very badly.

Both SJ and Whitti Steve led the table outright towards the end, but it was Stig231 surging through over the final few games that resulted in the first and only dead heat with Whitti Steve. That’s how it ended – first place being shared between the two as Flemish’s PC crashed and all the weekly wins were lost. Jolly Johnny coming a close third, but some exceptionally weak performances from others, due to the random nature of some of the expected results that season.

Season Four

This was one of the closest-fought leagues, demonstrated by the long train of players gathered at the half-way point, with basically a ‘top 13’ scrum:

Here’s how it ended:

Four Oaks Saddler basically spectacularly imploded and Stig 231 assumed control, Jolly Johnny caught up to join him, but fell away slightly at the end, 2nd place ultimately shared with a resurgent Saigon.

This was Stig 231’s second consecutive win, and he became the first player to breach the 100 point mark.

He’s pretty much blocked everyone now, resulting in the world’s most ignorant echo-chamber.
