I haven’t been for a few years, but last time I went I managed to park on a street just off the Rochdale Road. Can’t remember exactly where, or whether street parking is still available there. It was about a 10 minute walk to the ground. Just thinking about it, what a useless piece of imprecise information this post is!
Bugger all that minor stuff - top of the list was the 8-0 hammering of Valkeakosken Haka.
I well remember their three fans trying to start a “ give us a V” chant as the seventh whistled into the net.

That’s a pain. I’ve been half a dozen times or more and have always parked there and previously in the little car park behind the stand, which is now the home end.
Yes and they have played in European competitions since. We also hammered St Gallen 8 - 0 or 8 - 1 in one of these friendlies. They were pretty well attended on the whole; they wouldn’t be now.
Was that the one where Clive Ford hit 4?

Fair play to anyone that’s going tonight, the fixture list really does feel like it’s been cruel to us so far this season.

My memory of Ken Hodgkinson is him strolling along hand on refs shoulder talking away. Wouldn’t be allowed now but back in the day lots more character players. Who can ever forget Saddlers legends like Alan Boswell Chopper Gutteridge and Wee George Meek fag in mouth at start of second half playing Derby away minutes 1960s , those were the days my friends long gone never to be seen again.
