He was knackered.
Great result.
Terrible performance.
Defence was nervous. Monthe was awful.
Midfield was non-existent. A 35 year old ran the show - we are desperate for something like that.
We couldnât pass a ball.
Yet we are only 4 points off the play offs. Christ this league is awful.
Not a great watch but good to see that we do have the ability to grind ugly ones out still. Canât always be a wide open romp.
Rochdale were far better than the league table shows and not the same side people were beating earlier in the season.
On todayâs showing we would struggle to pass wind, let alone a football. A really poor game between two poor sides in a very poor league.
Another appalling referee, I guess itâs standard operating procedure in L2, some of his decision making was head shaking.
It wasnât a pretty game, but I was pleased with the way we ground it out, defended well and hung in there for the three points.
Good efforts by knowles, Kinsella, Gordon and Hutchinson. Bennett had a quiet game by his standards but still played well. Daniels and Monthe were immense at the back and solid goalkeeping from Evans.
Half way up the table where the gap is closing on the top seven, good place to be with two months to go before the January window.
Letsâs have some fun for next weekâs FA Cup!
Got there just in time for the goal.
Hard work. We did play some good stuff at times and we had a few moments where we could have made it two.
Rochdale werebetter than I expected them to be and denied us any width at all. Wingers pushing our wing backs back meaning Gordon and Bennett just couldnât get into the game which in turn made the middle of the park a crowd scene and us finding difficult to play through.
Iâd have given Hutchinson man of the match.
Another home win. Gotta be happy.
I think that thatâs Flynnâs style of play. Like it or lump it,and Iâll lump it thank you. I just canât believe the number of bookings we get for time wasting, that tells itâs own story.
2 wins in a week whatâs not 2 like. UTS.
Pretty poor but eff it. Dale weâre much better than hagartown and would be unhappy at losing. Shame. Oh, and the ref wad a useless tosser
Flynn must be in with a chance of being manager of the month for October now? The game itself was another poor offering dreadful quality from both sides christ this league is shit happy with a win though.
Thought I recognised it as I was therein August
Well that was a difficult watch poor on the ball today but when youâve gotta grind it out youâve gotta grind it. Superb battling performance.
Especially when your playing against the referee and the linesman too then handicapping yourself by bringing on Andy Williams.
A great 3 points.
Basterd
Clearly the performance was poor. I donât think itâs any coincidence that our four best players of the season so far, Johnson, Monthe, Kinsella and Bennett all had shockers.
HOWEVER (and itâs a big however)
We draw or even lose that game in any of the last 4 seasons. Yet another performance that makes a mockery of the people questioning Flynns ability to motivate these players, because yet again those points were all about effort.
When did they bring in the rule that says you canât give Walsall a decision in extra time no matter how blatent it is? Lino and ref looked like the last 2 auditioning for the role of Crusty the clown in the Simpsons at the end there.![]()

Something kicked off in the tunnel every stward went racing down there just after the players had gone down there.
Or indeed in the very first minute!! Anyway a very poor game from a footballing point of view. I thought a draw would have been fairer. Having said that we battled through against a more competitive team than Tuesday. UTS
The ref was poor for most of the game but in the last 10 mins him and the linesman outdid themselves with shocking decisions.
If weâd conceded because of one of their howlers lâd have been well f***ed off.
How would we do against THEM? ![]()
Happy with 3 points however gained
.
Any Flyn post match interviews out there yet ? Cant find anything
