2-0 Win Josh Gordon Brace ![]()
Not another injury! ![]()
lmao
If I’m not watching on Saturday he can borrow mine
In his pre match video Sadler reiterated he his happy with his squad (did mention that the window is still open).
How can he be happy with his front line!
Looking forward to a comprehensive win on Saturday, as we now a couple of players injured.
And thus, based on past UTS logic, this will help Sadler find a good set up, as he “lucks out” because he’s forced into changes by the injuries.
If Elvis goes down we’re really screwed!
We’ve got to start picking up points Mr. Sadler, if you want to stay in your job that is.
I’m going for a very narrow win.
UTS
What a shock
that and the coming on just to have a pop at other supporters for a point of view you have completely created in your own head.
There might actually be some truth in that. Stuttle’s injury might force us to play a midfield box, with one upfront. This might mean we have to pass the ball more, and try to control the game more. On paper, we have some good midfielders - these might be able to offset our dearth of strikers. I think we just need to make sure we are tough to play against - we haven’t got enough flair to blow teams away. We will be more Gillingham than Chesterfield!
I’m not sure how MS can be remotely happy with the strike force. As things stand I’d take a draw.
Elsewhere I wonder if ram will get anywhere near the bench and what’s the situation with Weir.
I know that I should be more positive but I have absolutely no faith in the manager.
Easy Salford win. We had no firepower anyway now without stuttle we are shot uptop
Salford won’t have an easier defensive game
Decent first game and a cracking goal as well. Probably the best delivery from a dead ball now Allen has gone yet not even in the 18. Its not like we heavily rely on set pieces for a goal threat.
Is he a contender for first on Sadler’s naughty step?
Wasn’t Weir one of the 3 in the “awkward squad”, last season which also included DJ and Lakin. They weren’t getting picked and so were a bit pssed off. I don’t know why Weir isn’t being picked - I would even try him as a CDM - we need to get his wand of a left-foot into the team!
But I’m struggling to identify another stand out attribute. He’s not particularly good defensively, he’s a bit short for a centre half, he’s not dynamic enough for a wing back. But also:
I’d take that with a pinch of salt. It was basically an excuse used to justify any of Saddlers bat shit insane selections.
Id personally stick Harper in at left wing back - played at higher level most recently with plenty of experience.
Yeah I think that’s a given.
I’m talking about Weir generally, the suggestion was playing him in the back 3.
I like your style ![]()
I hadnt read all the posts properly, gonna smash my computer, phone and the house up soon if we dont sign a decent striker.
I’m sure @Andy_Petterson will appreciate this as an aid to the pressing game. Looking forward to it’s arrival/usage at the Bescot. Sure it’ll go down well, the ultimate “hoofball” kick-off.
