W 1-0 vs Stevenage (H) - League Two - Sat 28th Aug, 3pm

Talking of graffiti I’ve never forgot when I was an apprentice and used the porta cabin toilets on the building site I was sent to, as I closed the cubicle door and sat to empty ones self there in black tipped pen was scrawled “ all turds over 6 inches must be lowered by hand “ still laugh at that all these many years later.

RIP Kyle - my thoughts are with his family.

Let’s all give him a memorable send off in the 18th minute tomorrow.

Agree with @Natalie-Drest very very sad and got choked up reading this and I’m glad someone put it on here

I wasn’t going to go tomorrow but I will and marking my respect to this guy will be part of the reason.

Does anyone remember that programme that follows those families every few years? I was inconsolable seeing the fathers distress after the girl passed away. Similarly, I read the David Cameron article about his son as well. Think it was in the guardian? I’m not his biggest fan but it was a very emotional read.

Respect and regards to those who care for the disabled.

Taylor is talking the game up on the OS.

Good for you James :+1::+1:.

If any of his family are going to the game I’m sure the fact that a few thousand fans clapping exclusively for Kyle will give them great comfort.

If we don’t win this one I think a lot of us will start to feel like the possibility of ‘doing a Southend’ becomes horrendously real.

I think we will scrape a victory, though. I think we have enough about us - just.

2 - 0. If we concede, I believe we lose.

This would be my team on Saturday.

Kiernan can cover Ward.
Shade offers a good outlet.
Plenty of crosses.
Time for Earing to step up and provide some creativity to unlock what will be a stubborn Stevenage side.

The colours of the shirts don’t mean anything.
For Phillips, the L stands for loan (not Lesley)…

Considering we don’t have much on the bench to come on and the fact there are 4 loan players in that starting 11 it just shows how much we have gone backwards in my opinion.

Maybe we can do a Barnsley…

I must admit that when we lost 3:1 (under O’Driscoll), it was like watching a bottle of pop that had lost its fizz.

Now, it’s a bit like a bottle of milk that’s turned sour.

I don’t expect champagne but some watered down orange squash would do, right now… :grinning:

Bescot is a former sewage plant isn’t it? We should be in a prime position for the alchemy of turning piss into water.

Draw 1-1 for me.

Ooooh

That’s uncanny

Just like a crime watch reconstruction

I’m gonna cut this out and ask the nice lady at the Kings chippy in the delves to put it in the window

Reward offered chips and curry special (small)

Somebody recently posted the team we had against Shrewsbury in 2016 when we won 3-1 away and Lalkovic scored. There were no weak links in that team. And have we ever had a better midfield than Chambers, Evans and Sawyers? How have we fallen so far in such a short time?

Bonser kept us competitive (somehow) With a poor budget without giving the manager a realistic chance of promotion . And managed to get out at exactly the right time ( the jammy bastard ) with Covid just around the corner.

3 -1 to Walsall, no question about it.

Anybody who understands football is bound to agree.

I don’t understand then

Probably it will be an easy 3-0 victory for someone, but I’m not guessing for who. To be honest, it’s effing pretty far from challenging for a playoff place, so all that plans means nothing, when execution is faulty. Unfortunately that part is very hard to improve after such a start. But maybe I will be surprised.

Info on saddlers.co.uk about bar and catering availability v Stevenage

I like that team Monthe deserves another go he had one bad game Ash Taylor was dreadful last week I’d say Monthe is slightly quicker as well
