Crewe are our bogey team imho, but I have a good friend who is a Crewe ST holder & thinks they are out of gas & racked with injuries. So perhaps the owl maybe a little busy or not as the case may be.

Logic would suggest playing a similar side to when we completely battered them errrr 2-2 at their place.

Smith

Foulkes
Mcentee
DD
Farq
Gordon

Stirk
Hutch
Knowles

Draper
DJ

Crewe seem to have a knack of coming back into games a lot this season, so it would suggest tactical flexibility and the use of subs will be key today

UTS

Stirk, Knowles and Draper should be dropped. Very poor quality.
Maher, Foulkes and DJT to start.

Well we dont normally win on a Tuesday night, so lets hope our luck turns with an afternoon kick off

Oh i wont be watching, think I’d rather stay in the sun, keep me updated :sunglasses:

Most teams always seem to be 12 months ahead of us, when are we going to catch up?

I don’t like being negative but I don’t see any positives unfortunately, we are no further along now than when we got relegated, probably further back if anything.

ā€œCome on ā€œ Tommy

Trying to recover my early season mantra of enjoying the day with friends and family without the shitshow on the pitch getting to me.

Think we will lose 1-3.

Something about conditions, uncharacteristically sloppy at the back, wasteful with the ball, not energetic enough without it, not our usual selves, great chance to bounce back quickly in a couple of days time, determined, put it right, window, long term.

Look forward to seeing you all there.

I think 3 points today is important for Matt Sadler that would make 4 wins in 5 and takes the pressure off the wrexham game… lose today that leaves just wrexham to play before January where i think a decision will be made on his future.

Probably the first time I’ve ever wished we we’re away on Boxing Day, somewhere local like Carlisle, that way I wouldn’t have to go and watch our lucky dip team ā€˜managed and coached’ by Matt Sadler who is busy destroying not only mine but also, and from what I’ve read and been told, quite a number of longstanding fans enthusiasm for our team.
Couldn’t care less about his bizarre football ideas and how he thinks we play as we limp on bleeding the optimism from our support and replacing it with a new mantra from some fans like it could be worse or similar shite.
Oh, and Happy Christmas! :grinning:

That would be a reasonable team imo, but just wish we had a better option down the right to give knowles a rest. Surely we have to be more positive in team selection after the game at Accrington.

Need to be brave today and on the front foot from minute one. They are suffering with a lot of injuries atm. Need to take advantage of this and it would take the pressure off Friday’s match

Trying to decide if I stay in the warm bar - anybody know what the team is yet?

That reminds me of an old joke - Sadler has named his team for today’s game … Crewe. :joy:

Hutch starts in place of Okagbue (McEntee drops into LCB?)

Otherwise the same starting line up as Accrington.

Not a bad team. We’re playing two upfront!

Good to see RAM on the bench

Hae you ever noticed over the last few months DJ has been at the end of the subs list which I take to mean he is only on there as an act of desperation. Smacks of protecting their August investment from injury that might effect his January sale proceeds.

Or perhaps he has the highest shirt/squad number?
Don’t know if that’s the case but he is No. 39
Edit
Just checked only Griffiths’ is higher at 40 summat
