I fear that we just don’t have the quality to do that. It’s true that you get what you pay for and we have no one anywhere near the quality of a James Molyneux, for instance, someone who is a game changer. It is what it is, we are just a mid-table Division 4 side and have to make do with the likes of Dallas and Sodje. The only real quality we’ve had over the last 3-4 seasons has come on loan - we don’t even have that this year!

You’ve described the problem to a tee: you drive for show and put for dough! We’ve bought a set of second-hand Ping woods and irons, but are using a £29.99 putter bought from Argos!

Got a Scotty Cameron myself and still can’t putt.and two pings .in fact the the cheapest one I got of a car boot not branded, I hate to say is my most successful putter.

On our prediction league we do at home my nephew put us down to win 6-0 with an Elvis hat trick. Our friend says if it happens he’ll buy us all a curry (there’s 7 of us in this league) i replied “don’t worry, your wallet is safe”

Ok, loans till January, do they really count? Haven’t seen a shoot on site policy from any of our own for a while (with the exception of Lakin’s efforts at trying to down the occasional lorry off the M6 that is!). Wouldn’t it be great to see some ‘entertaining’ shots at goal for a change 0-0’s get boring after a while. Oh for a ‘Buckley’ approach, which I thought Grant would bring (we were told).

Just don’t lose would be my message for this game I’d take a 0-0 draw again. Don’t want Vale to gain momentum by beating us.
