W 2-1 vs Bristol Rovers (H) – Sat 4th Oct, 3.00pm (League Two)

Or Alfie Biggs, who later came to us. He played for them more than 400 times and always seemed to have a decent game.

Smash and Grab in the 70s. Warboys and Bannister?

According to the Official Rovers post on X (twitter) they have less than 100 tickets left

Let’s just hope they all go home as miserable as sin.

I never predict Walsall scores, but hope we stuff these.

I see Alfie Chang’s been a regular starter in the Rovers’ teams since he joined on loan. I assume he’s been playing well. Who are the main threats we need to watch?

AI has us down for the win:

Given the balance of evidence:

Walsall have a slight edge thanks to home form and consistency. The match is likely to be fairly tight and maybe decided by small margins. A predicted scoreline from one of the previews is 2-1 in favour of Walsall. Another line of analysis suggests over 2.5 goals and both teams scoring are viable bets. So, all in all, I’d lean toward Walsall narrowly winning — perhaps 2-1 or 1-0.

I’d take that.

I’d take a draw , they will be up there at the end of season and come to Bescot in good form 1-1

I’m going against all the reluctant miseries, we will win this 4-1, no problem.

Can see it being very competitive given the runs both teams are on and with the added spice of bristols 2k+ following ,DC back at the bescot and flint being a former city player .

Really hope we can get 6k plus home supporters in to get it rocking which could make all the difference

Completely agree.

As you say, 6k Walsall fans would be ace, taking the crowd to 8k plus.

As it stands it looks unlikely. Plenty of availability in every area in the ground. Needs a bit of a rush over next couple of days

Forgot to mention a bit of extra spice the return of chang and harrison

I reckon that in general the crowds at home have been better than anticipated and I feel Saturday will be the same…

8k+ with their significant following…

Never mind Crod. I think Trump’s hacked his account.

With all this talk of stormy weather and Trump, I’m just glad that our Captain Fantastic has gone to Oldham now…

Is that Stormy weather or Stormy Daniels?

He’s been an absolute collosus for Oldham so far this season, already a massive hero, just a few of their comments on him from their forum…

When we signed Stormy Daniels I was really disappointed, looked like a journeyman with a poor fitness record, plus I had a lot of time for Charlie Raglan. It just goes to show that you need to watch someone play before you judge them (obvious, I know). He’s a massive upgrade…

…I agree Daniels has been very consistent so far and who would have thought that a centre back would have created our 1st goal has he did last week.

..so as a back 4 with Monthe and Daniels at the middle of it, and Hudson behind them, they are yet to concede from open play in 9 games together. Sort set pieces and start scoring more and we’re gonna be a monster.

Daniels is a big upgrade on Raglan for me. You could maybe argue that defensively they are at similar levels but Daniels adds an extra dimension to us with his ability to go forwards at times. Something Raglan just doesn’t have in his locker.

… Daniels is a superb addition and looks to be enjoying his football and clearly lots of smiles and leaders in the group.

Daniels is an absolute baller, a rock at the heart of the centre of our defence, a collossus and a leader of men. He’s Championship quality form me, no surprise we had scouts from Birmingham and Sheff Utd at our game on Saturday, we’re lucky to have him

I keep thinking of Barrow away when Pressley was a nightmare for him. Admittedly he was not at full fitness that day and shouldn’t have been selected in my opinion
