W 2-1 vs Oldham Athletic (H) - League Two - Tue 15th March, 7:45pm

Probably got something to do with the fact that we gave 1,200 tickets away for free on Saturday.

This is very true, it’s a shame we couldn’t have attracted a few more of those taking advantage of the promotion on Saturday back.

I’ve merely responded to all the attacks on me and my comments that someone who went in my place described the audience as small. We’ll agree to disagree on this old bean.

Hopefully some of them will return in the future, but I don’t think it was realistic to think that they would come back three days later and on a school night.
The crowd was more or less what was expected, I would have thought.

It’s an attendance or a crowd, not an audience!

You sound like John Thompsons Fast Show character who tried to fit in with his footballing mates but always got the terminology wrong because he hadn’t really got a clue what was going on.

Do we know if Everton Andy goes to Goodison Park very often?

The attendance in home areas on Saturday was 5,571, including approximately 1,300 for the schools offer, so around 4,300 regulars. Against Oldham, that figure dropped to 3,773, around 500 less.

I don’t think that is too bad, and is certainly better than many midweek games for League One in the recent past, including relatively successful seasons.

In 2013/14 for example, we were in the top 10, having a good run and had just tonked Notts County away 5-1. We played Tranmere the following Tuesday and there was only 3,293 home fans in a crowd of 3,775.

Considering where we are, our attendances are relatively good.

About as often as Bescot , I’d imagine…

I think he tied himself to the goalposts at Goodison.
