It looked good I’d say. Of course the stamina crisis awaits, but so far it is a good game.
Good result at half time really really boring games. Both teams forgetting midfielders exist.
Should have had a penalty
Salford had the possession ,but didn’t do a lot with it. We still looked the more likely to score. Interesting to see if they can keep it up.
Great goal, good that he had the confidence to keep going, that will do him world of good. Labadie could be a really important player but he is a liability. Red card waiting to happen 2nd half. Hope we start the second like we started the first, impressive for 25 mins. Needed half-time to come, get 'em in and focused again

Great start and good finish to the half, but for a lot the rest of it, Salford were controlling the game.
Kiernan will become a very good player if he learns when to release the ball / pick out the best option.
Without seeing another replay I can’t see if it was in or out of the box - but it was a foul - even more so than the one Northampton won their penalty from on Tuesday.
Definitely a foul, but I think if it had been given, it would have been on the edge.

Couldn’t make today as was dropping my daughter back home but glad we’re playing well. Be a good result this. Hope wilko comes on second half.

After a flying start we sat back too deep during periods of the half and they got back into the game.
It was a poor tackle for Labadie’s booking, but he should also have been awarded a penalty late in the half for a foul in the box. I’m guessing that’s why Matt Taylor was booked arguing his case with the fourth official.
We’ve looked comfortable on the ball and our defence solid. An early second goal will hopefully be enough to secure the points.
